Democrat Jaime Harrison's Senate campaign released an internal poll on Monday finding him in a statistical tie with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
The survey, conducted by veteran Democratic pollster Cornell Belcher, finds Graham at 43 percent and Harrison at 41 percent. That's within the survey's 3.5-point margin of error.
The poll found that 51 percent of respondents disapprove of the job Graham is doing. About 33 percent of South Carolina voters polled said Graham deserves to be reelected, with 59 percent saying it's time for someone new.
"The polling paints a clear picture: This is a close and competitive race," said Belcher, the president of Brilliant Corners Research and Strategies. "A majority of voters don't think Lindsey Graham deserves to be re-elected, and the more they learn about Jaime Harrison, the more they support him."

Stuck in the familiar lesser of two evils trap again.....
I know Lindsey Graham is too liberal for many on this site, but, in a binary general election, after the party nominees have been chosen in primaries, this is the choice you face.
Don’t really care for Lindsey but he is better than Harrison!
SC has a large black population. One not whack could have a chance
I wouldn’t mind seeing Lindsay on some Australian Outback spit, rotating with an apple in his mouth, but he is a better choice than the Democrat.
Lindsay had to be ousted in the primary, which the Republicans in that stupid state can never seem to do.
I would never plan to live there, if at all possible.
SC is only a few election cycles from joining NC as a purple swing state.
People like Graham are actively preventing a genuine opposition party to the progressive agenda. An argument can be made that he is actually worse than a card carrying Democrat given that.
The poll is nonsense, probably intentional misinformation to goad the Republicans into pouring money into the race.
Then primary the jerk.
SC voters had the opportunity to take him out in the primary and failed to do so.
Oh,it’s an “internal” poll! Of course that “internal” poll had Rats at 45% and Republicans at 33%. And,of course,it was “adults” or “registered voters”
Stopped right there.
Harrison will indeed get 41% of the vote as her poll shows. I believe that number is probably quite accurate.
Internal polls like this often state accurately the support of the candidate being polled while understating the support of the opposing candidate.
I’d hate to lose a key R Senate seat to the DIMS, but...???
Harrison will indeed get 41% of the vote as *his* poll shows. I believe that number is probably quite accurate.

in open primary in SC democrats decide republican primary.
this way SC democrats get choice between democrat and democrat lite in general.
I’d vote for a term limit on the generally useless Grahmnasty.
Good thing I don’t live there.
I really dont believe this bunk.
Hey, the 'it's time for something new' train left the station on primary day. Now it's too late. linda will be reelected on Nov 3rd. South Carolina is too red of a state for it to be otherwise.
