President Trump says he will not visit John Lewis’ casket in US Capitol

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Monday told reporters has no plans to visit the casket of civil rights hero John Lewis as he lies in state in the US Capitol.

“No, I won’t be going, no,” Trump said when asked if he would travel on Monday or Tuesday to pay his respects.

As you noted, there is a risk in Trump attending. But let’s say you were on Biden’s campaign staff. Would you prefer Trump to go and pay his respects? Or would your prefer that he stay away? I think a Biden guy would prefer Trump stay away.
