this is easily the stupidest period in American history and arguably the most oppressive. That said, I did see some glimmers of hope along the way.

individuals entering New Jersey from states with a significant spread of COVID-19 should quarantine for 14-days after leaving that state.
The specific formula is too convoluted to understand, let alone explain. .. I left a place where no one I know has had the disease and arrived at a place where most of the people I know have had it. I do not exaggerate.
...
conservatives have instinctively rebelled against the imposition of these ever-changing, self-defeating mandates.
...
In New York State, as everywhere, liberals take pride in their submissiveness and in their masks.
...
The front-line doctors with whom I have spoken cite morbid obesity as the dominant factor in high risk cases.
...
The media have a secondary reason for their silence. To acknowledge obesity as a cause would make it harder to blame President Trump
...
I have seen large Trump signs wherever I traveled. Incredibly, on the ethnically diverse Seaside Heights boardwalk, there is a shop that sells only Trump merchandise. I saw no Biden signs anywhere and certainly no Biden shop.
...
Some people who voted for Trump in 2016 only because he wasnt Hillary now have come to see him as our Charles Martel, the unlikely last defender of Western civilization.
...
Black Lives Matter. To question the agenda of this absurd Marxist organization, conceived in one fraud and nurtured in another, is to risk ones job.
As my nephew Alex explained, the silent majority has become the silenced majority. There is no denying the silenced. Here is hoping he is right about the majority.

I visited 2 micro-brew pubs (in NY) over the weekend. one sold a bag of potato chips for a buck to meet generalissimo Cuomo’s (idiot-NY) decree. the other had a sign posted, a slice of pizza for $1. neither bartender or myself even mentioned it as a bought a couple of beers w/o the pizza. I did see another customer with the ‘slice’, it was no bigger than an index card.

My biggest complaint was that I saw him as a chameleon. But it turned out he’s the same color as me in that regard. I’ve only voted “for” - as opposed to against - a canididate once in my life. That was 1980. I will be voting “for” a candidate for the second time in my life in November, Lord willing and he’s not assassinated.
I have family out around Corning, NY, they were telling me about a bar that offered food/snacks by the handful; an entire handful of fries for one dollar.
I saw no Biden signs anywhere and certainly no Biden shop.

I live behind enemy lines in a deep blue section. I’ve yet to see a single car or home with a Biden sign. I have seen Trump 2020 bumper stickers in the burbs.
MA seems to be trying to enforce quarantine on anyone who travels into MA from a “hotspot” state.
Now, you may ask what a “hotspot” state is. Well, every state that actually borders MA is fine. No hotspots at all up here in the NE corner of the country. I think NJ is also good. The whole rest of the country is a “hotspot”.
Seems to me like a naked attempt to shut down freedom of travel, while also avoiding the crippling economic effects of telling neighboring states “We don’t want your money”.
Pretty clearly has nothing to do with disease and everything to do with politics. But our governor is Charlie Baker, ostensibly a Republican, and obviously a Democrat.
I believe the silent majority is real. But it’s a smaller majority than in 1968. I remember all of the violence and riots in those days. I remember at 14 years old how pissed I was to see “protesters” flying North Vietnamese flags in their demonstrations. Now in 2020 the same ol chit is happening. Same ol commies. If the REAL American people vote that brain dead puppet then we know where we’re going. To hell in a handbasket. But I just can’t believe that the majority would throw all of our posterity out the window.
Great article !!
One gal I know was just released from hospital.. Morbidly Obese, like REALLY , really obese. She did survive
Some people who voted for Trump in 2016 only because he wasnt Hillary now have come to see him as our Charles Martel, the unlikely last defender of Western civilization.
We voted for Trump in both the Primary and the General election for this very reason. The 2020 election is a battle for national survival.
We must win.

Southern NJ here. Lots of Trump flags in our small town. Nothing mentioning Biden. One town down the road I did see one Biden flag, but it was hung inside the person’s house.
I didn’t realize anyone lived in Kansas City, Missouri other than a couple freepers and myself, who was not a Communist. And I actually live on the Kansas side, in Leawood, Kansas.
Upside down, perhaps?
My wife won’t let me put up Trump signs because she’s concerned that “kind” Biden supporters will harm her horses that graze nearby.
It is sad that our country has come to that. And I do understand your wife’s concern, as it is my wife’s as well.
The “kind” Biden supporters are on the offensive. They get to pick the time and place of their assault. We are forced to be on defense and no war was ever won on defense.
“Silenced Majority”
Much more accurate than the “silent majority”
“I saw no Biden signs anywhere and certainly no Biden shop.”
This election is not Trump vs Biden, it’s Trump vs anti-Trump. They could put a cardboard cutout in place of Biden and the results would be the same.
The reality is that we’re repeatedly given only two choices for president and it is, therefore, very important to select the better of the two. This time, if you care about our country, the best choice is clearly Donald Trump.
