Atlanta protesters attack federal building with fireworks, shatter windows

Atlanta Black Lives Matter protesters blasted a federal building with fireworks and shattered windows as they took out their wrath on an immigration office there on Saturday, according to reports.

Demonstrators smashed windows and set fires outside the downtown building, which houses Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices, while footage from the protest posted on Twitter shows fireworks being hurled at the entrance.

“DHS/ICE Field Office ransacked by frontliners in Atlanta in solidarity with the freedom fighters of the #PortlandProtests and every other suffering poor person trying to build a new world,” one of the posts says.

Other posts, using the hashtag #PortlandSolidarity, said demonstrators had barricaded a section of Ted Turner Drive overnight, WXIA-TV said.

Portland has become one of the nation’s most volatile hotspots for protests, with nightly clashes with police for the past two months, with federal troops now there to attempt to quell the violence.

I hope that black leaders will eventually realize that they are being used as cannon fodder for the Antifas and BLMs.

The blacks will be the ones who die if it comes to civil war, whether that war is open warfare or guerrilla strikes at night.

Works both ways. Dems see it as justifiable outrage that energizes their base and that lives and property are collateral damage for a good cause. Republicans see it as justifiable peaceful protest but unjustifiable violence that needs to be put down to protect lives and property among the protesters and arrest of self styled revolutionaries that energizes their base.

The Atlanta PD has been completely undercut by their elected officials, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Fulton County DA Paul Howard, and the City Council.

As a result of this, the Atlanta PD should probably be expected to be engaging in FIDO policing. As in F*** It, Drive Off. And I can’t say I blame them.

I am avoiding going into the City of Atlanta as much as possible. I am better prepared when I do go.

The incendiary antifah tactics over time are increasing.

The rioters now use with impunity powerful and blinding laser pointers aimed at police faces. That used to be an extremely serious crime - anybody shining one at nighttime on an aircraft cockpit would be pursued and hounded until their arrest. Lasers now are all over the scenes at each night’s riots. I can only hope that the informers and undercover guys are the ones leading to the yanking of “innocent bystanders”, where there is evidence of prior criminal use of these lasers.

Besides the lasers, these are not your father’s firecrackers being tossed at law enforcement. These are ash-cans and the like, and more powerful than that. Officers are going down from getting hit by them when they go off.

With regard to Federal troops, the Pentagon stood down during the DC riots, with the Secretary of Defense almost immediately withdrawing 1200 soldiers sent from Fort Bragg and Fort Drum. It was up to the Federal civilian forces cobbled together by Homeland Security and the Department of Justice that saved the White House and the Federal buildings from the mob. Trump only has a limited field force of loyal Federal civilian LEOs to throw against BLM and Antifa. Given the remarks of the Defense Secretary and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, plus the contemptuous remarks of retired flag officers, the Federal military is unreliable.

If Trump wins, he will have to go full Stalin on the Pentagon.

Yes, but ANTIFA and the rest have become much more overt and public since that article. Indictments are a good idea, but the y take time and the DOJ would have to move out quickly. We are now faced with a situation where every Federal building is a target for violent attack and arson. If we have to defend each location endlessly, with limited forces and restrictive ROEs, the country will descend into full insurrection.
