Yes, but she admitted she lost her temper. And she was a student. I should hope that when Adams began a relationship with her, that she was not a student at that time. Which as anyone knows, is inappropriate.
She admitted that she MAY have lost her temper in her response to the original emailer. She also claimed that her response was not ‘threatening’.
The article says that she was a student ‘at the time’; and that ‘later’ they married.
I’m sure that sort of thing has happened quite frequently. (I think it even happened with a teacher in my high school and one of her brilliant students.)
I don’t know anything about Professor Adams’ personal life. I’m just reading what the ‘news’ is telling us.
