It appears that the one he married may have been someone who actually supported him.
The article indicates that the student - whom Adams accused of being ‘intentionally divisive’ in her email regarding 9/11 - claimed that after Adams’ response to her, she had received ‘many threatening emails’.
Article goes on to say, ‘One of the messages investigated by campus police came from then-student Krysten Scott, according to The Seahawk campus newspaper. She told the newspaper that she may have lost her temper but said nothing threatening..’

There is no indication that the woman he married was a ‘crazy liberal’.
All we have to go on is the ‘news’, and the article appears to indicate that the woman he married had supported him and was investigated herself as one of those who were accused by the original ‘emailer’ of sending ‘threatening emails.’
