A group of Washington state teens sprung into action Saturday and saved a King County deputy who was allegedly being choked by a DUI suspect, police said Tuesday.
A female officer, who was referred to as Deputy Eliot, was reportedly off-duty when she came upon a multi-vehicle car wreck, The King County Sheriffs Office said in a Facebook post.
Eliot confronted an inebriated suspect who allegedly caused the pile-up, and the person began struggling with the deputy and placed her in a chokehold, the sheriffs office said in the social media post.
Get off of her! yelled five young men who jumped on the suspect and pried the him off Eliot, the post said. The good men then restrained the alleged aggressor, as Eliot collected herself and cuffed him, according to the post.

I saw that as well. Again, good job kids.
She’s shorter (and heavier) than the teens. Sigh.
Good news if they are arming guards at bases again!
“Back then” people had respect for law enforcement, members of the court, our military, and women. “Back then” men rarely took steroids and drugs that made them strong and crazy. “Back then” law enforcement was not prevented from protecting themselves and others on or off duty. “Back then” society had standards that if a man stepped over that line, the good citizens would intervene and support other citizens and our law enforcement.
That’s all that racism in the suburbs they talk about
linkee no workee.
I noted the “diverse makeup” if the rescuing youths. That should infuriate the left. Whereas normals are proud of them.
One comment on the headline:
Since the cop was “allegedly” choked by the “suspect” the boys could only have allegedly rescued her. If their rescue was not “alleged” then neither was the attack. Did they stop the “suspect” because they suspected he was choking her? Or because he was choking her?
You are correct, female officers in general, and one of small stature specifically have a hard time handling most males. According to my LEO son, that's why statistically it's been shown that they resort to actually pulling their guns and shooting people more often that their male counter parts.
Perfect. Have they “cancelled” Dirty Harry yet?
Oh, I’m sure that’s coming soon. LOL
> or every 1% increase in female officers there was a 2% increase in the need to use a firearm due to the females inability to control larger men without using a firearm <
Interesting. Ive read articles saying that height and weight requirements for police officers are no longer needed. The authors argue that equipment and training will make up for a lack of physical strength.
Well, I guess thats true. But not in the way the authors envisioned.
Call me anything you want. I'm fine with it.
Women should definitely NOT be on the front line of anything because they CANNOT be a realistic force against a man. Sorry, they can't. The only reason they are respected, if that's the word, by perps is because a MAN is standing nearby to back her up.
Tyranny of the anecdote.
“Call me a chauvinist, but women should not be in the front lines of police work. If the truth were known, many have been beaten up and their guns removed from perps.”
That’s what I’m thinking too. Her family is DAMN LUCKY those kids were around, or they’d be scheduling a funeral.
Sometimes the truth hurts.
“women should not be in the front lines of police work.”
True. When watching actual videos of police chasing bad guys, if there’s a male-female partnership, the male is hot on the villain. Lady cop lagging WAY behind. Useless — but stylish.
yeah....that’s it....the cop was too short and not strong enough....
kill the short people!
