New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday that the city’s schools will not be fully open until a vaccine is available. He also stated that a decision on even a partial reopening wouldn’t happen until at least September, making a limited return to class then highly unlikely.
The move would constitute the most aggressive step yet the city has taken in preventing students from returning to normal classes. It comes in sharp contrast to plans from de Blasio just two weeks ago when the mayor previously promised a schedule wherein schools would be open for the fall, with parents deciding whether their children should be taught in person or virtually.

The United States simply does not value children, or education. The rest of the Western and civilized world does. The pandemic has made this shockingly clear.

Yes, some will get some good homeschooling now, and the wealthy are hiring tutors and getting “learning pods” together, but that won’t be the experience for most— millions of others.
The schools are a waste anyway. Home schooling strengthens the family and the bond between parents and children.

Nobody is “defunding the indoctrination system.” If anything, the public schools are getting MORE, and staying closed MORE.
They got a ton of “pandemic relief” early on and now are getting $150 billion per Trump yesterday.
There is no defunding. There is the opposite. And teachers contracts are locked in through next year.

Most parents in the United States value their children. Many who choose to live in New York City and send them to New York City schools don't value their children but that was evident long before the fake Wuhanic Plague.
