Torrential downpours and hurricane-force winds forecast across large parts of the country. Water levels of 93 rivers still above warning levels, government says.
Chinese regions as far apart as Sichuan in the southwest and Gansu in the northwest are at heightened risk of natural disasters in the coming days amid another round of torrential rain, the country’s weather bureau said on Thursday.
Parts of the east coast, including the Bohai Bay region, and the provinces of Shandong and Jiangsu are also set to face hurricane-force winds, the China Meteorological Administration said.
The port cities of Qingdao and Rizhao in Shandong were the latest to see record-breaking daily rainfall on Wednesday, while the provinces of Jiangxi and Anhui on the Yangtze River issued new red alerts early on Thursday.

I’ve seen pictures suggesting the Three Gorge Dam is cracking.
Mao went on a spree in the 50's and 60s building dams all across China - some of those have already failed this year.
In the more modern era, the dams have become much bigger - as has the disasters that will occur if they fail.

China is where Japan was in the 1930s. Specifics are a little different but internal pressures are the same. For Japan it was a lack of natural resources, for China it is population. Both looked for answers outside their borders. Japan through military strength, China by becoming cannibalistic capitalist.
China used their population and natural resources to entice industries to relocate to China. For the people at top of those industries it was a good deal they were getting wealthy but it was a bad deal for the rest of the world.
China like Japan (and Germany, and Soviet Union) had secret plans to dominate the world. They did not send soldiers across borders, they sent spies first to our universities and then to our industries and even our government, and not just in the US but around the world. They were planning on using their wealth to silence opposition and to influence governments to do their (China’s) bidding.
And then Trump was elected and for the Chinese he was their worse nightmare.
After three years of a trade war China is hurting.
Their spies from around the world are being exposed and arrested or sent home.
The Wuhan Virus (that I suspect was purposely let loose on teh world) is hurting them more than any other nation (not by the illness, but by the lock down of most western nations). If no one is working no one is buying what China is selling.
Australia and India recently signed trade agreements which were originally going to include China but not now. They are also opening their ports to the other’s Navy. In effect they are in position to block Chinese shipping in the South while the US Navy is in position to block Chinese shipping in the north.
China has been so heavy handed in dealing with other nations I would not be surprised if many of these nations that were enticed into signing “loans” for new ports, airports and rail lines” don’t simply quit paying China and nationalize the properties.
And last, we have mother nature. There has been so much rain that the water pressure behind the Three Gorge Dam actually moved a portion of the dam. I am not an Engineer but I don’t think dams are suppose to move.
But as they say on TV, that is not all. There have been a string of Earthquakes in the western part of China.
Communism (and Socialism) will always fail because the system ignores human nature. Communist are top down management with no room for individual to add anything to the process. Instead of having a million small business trying different things with some being successful and some failing, with top down, one man, or a small group of men, make the decision. If right, they are successful, but if they are wrong, the nation falls.
China is a wounded dragon with nuclear weapons and a pit bull in North Korea. How will they react when things continue to just get worse?
The rain falls on the just and unjust.

I check YouTube every night to see if the three gorges has failed . There are some good Chanel’s with the current event of chine. My favorite is China uncensored . There’s a few very food anti ccp news channels on YouTube. I’m hoping it fails also . My thinking is if the three gorges breaks the Chinese people might finally get rid of the ccp.

No there is not. I have been around them. All they do is steal and spy on us down to the chinese housewife if given a chance.
There is an American guy who married a chinese woman and he million s of followers on youtube.
He always talks about how uncaring chinese are to their fellow citizens. If someone get’s hurt out on a street chinese will keep walking by and render no assistance. His wife made a video when she came to America how much the people here would help each other-it was like a alien universe to her.

I think it is that they figure the government will take care of the problem. I watch the car crash videos once in awhile. Lots of them are from Russia.
More often than not, the car will crash sometimes 5 feet from a pedestrian. The pedestrian will take three quick steps to get out of the way, then keep walking and not even looking at the spectacle of the crashed car.
