Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) referred to President Trump as the first "racist" president during a town hall event on Wednesday.
Biden was questioned during the event, which was organized by the Service Employees International Union, about Trump's tendency to refer to COVID-19 as the "China virus" or "Wuhan virus."
"What President Trump has done in his spreading of racism ... the way he deals with people based on the color of their skin, their national origin, where they’re from, is absolutely sickening," Biden said.
"No sitting president has ever done this," Biden said. "Never, never, never. No Republican president has done this. No Democratic president. We've had racists, and they’ve existed. They’ve tried to get elected president. He’s the first one that has."

Maybe he should be introduced to Trump’s black girlfriend of two years. BTW, she has told people that Trump “doesn’t have a racist bone in his body”.

I recall watching a 1984 biography movie on Owens that starred Dorian Harewood in the main role and that is where I first learned about FDR basically ignoring the man and his very remarkable achievement and even my parents were taken that little bit aback when they learned about that through that movie. I also remember watching in 1984 a mini series “The First Olympics: Athens 1896” that featured David Ogden Stiers, Louis Jourdan, Angela Lansbury, Honor Blackman, and a young David Caruso. Very well done as I remember.
I remember the mini-series somewhat and Dorian in a short lived but favorite called Strike Force.
And Joe wants to be the second one. Too late. Harry Truman used the N word freely, but that’s really beside the point. I thought Reagan was the first racist POTUS, and after him George HW Bush was supposedly a racist, and George W, too. And George Washington and TJ owned slaves.
But really, what this statement means is that the Dems have exhausted their bag of tricks, and they’re falling back on old faithful. They have to, because if Trump gets just 15% of the black vote, he wins. And all those dirty tricks, the false narratives, the lies, the abuse of power, not to mention the death and destruction during these riots, will not have been for anything but self-serving power hunger, which really was all they were for. So Trump has to be a racist. His failing to be a racist is a threat to Demoncracy.

They’ve jumped the shark but because they only allow people like them to speak they don’t have a clue how far on the fringe they are.

President Trump just needs to keep doing like what he did in his press conference today and stay above it. An off hand slight against Biden is okay but mostly derogatory comments need to be done by others.
Makes me think Biden is feeling like he is behind in the real polls and getting desperate.
