Miami Enforcing Mandatory Face Coverings with Dedicated Unit

Miami, the area of Florida hit hardest by the Chinese coronavirus, is doubling down on its mask order, reportedly deploying a team of dedicated police officers to enforce the requirements.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez announced the updated mask order on July 1, requiring masks “in all public spaces inside and outdoors throughout Miami-Dade County.” The order essentially expanded on his April mask order, requiring coverings to be worn outdoors “with few exceptions

I called a local restaurant today to make reservations for Sunday for four of us. The chick said she’d need the names of all of us, as well as all of our phone numbers - “for contact tracing”.

I told her to never mind, and that we’d go to another restaurant. That isn’t ALL I said, but you can fill in the blanks.

We gave them the power because of:

climate change,
ozone hole,
lack of potable water,
acid rain,
polar bears,
baby seals,
spotted owls,
Islamic terrorists we classify as self-radicalized, home grown or lone wolf,
Foreign spies,
Iran,
Russia,
China,
Katrina,
whatever else...

And no one ever thinks of the “unforeseen consequences” nor is anything ever rolled back after a Patriot Act (what an oxymoron) is passed, FISA courts are created, etc. And of course when these powers are abused repeatedly, nothing changes... Oh wait, some BS mandatory training is given, some policy is written, and a new position is created (we are great at spending money as if that is the fix) but in the end government still has all these powers and capabilities.

Socialism/communism fails because of the basic nature of man, because of the laws of economics. People that advocate for socialism have to ignore the nature of man or argue that man is essentially good, trustworthy, hard working, honest, benevolent... Of course that’s not true. Man is full of sin: sloth, envy, wrath, gluttony, lust and pride. Likewise, those conservatives that argue for big government and the massive expanse of powers post 9/11 and where US intel agencies were basically oriented inward have to argue that man is essentially good, just like a communist. Of course these conservatives are full of shit just like a liberal or commie is.

What is truly remarkable is that a bunch of folks back in 1775 already understood that concept. They wrote up a document that by design is intended to box in government, define the limits of power, and bestow upon every citizen basic “unalienable” rights in a contract between the people and their government in what is called a Constitution (why we live in a republic - not a democracy). Government and politicians have been chipping away and circumnavigating this contract, the basic constitutional premises on which this nation was founded not long after the creation of this republic, but at an accelerated and alarming rate post WWII, and especially post 9/11.

Today, you can pretty much take the US Bill of Rights and smoke them, or use them to wipe your ass. Of the 10, maybe 1 can be argued not to have been circumnavigated, redefined, or abridged through bureaucratic and legalistic maneuvering. Seriously, can you name me one of the Bill of Rights that still stands? And who is to blame for that? Liberals and leftists? Nope. Conservatives (that claim to be about small government) are just as much to blame as liberals.

I can’t find anything to disagree with you on. Thank for your response. It was well thought out and, in my opinion, every word true.

>> We gave them the power because of:

None of those issues were able to fester without the proactive support of the MSM.

Nothing changes until conservatives wake TF up, and hold the likes of Comcast, ATT, and Disney accountable for the Marxism they’re peddling.

ABC is Disney
CNN is ATT
NBC, MSNBC are Comcast

Here in coastal MS, we’re under a mask “order” when in populated public places - can still walk into a convenience store and other places and see bare faces...haven’t heard of any cop forces harassing anyone over it.

A long time ago in America, in Europe, and elsewhere you had the local papers, they belonged to many different people and you had many independent folks "reporting" on what was going on. Today, as you state, you really only have a handful of original content providers and these major conglomerates that own everything at a top level. You have 200+ channels but only 5 true owners at the top. Internationally 7 in the Western world (5 of 7 are US, tells about our influence a little). Even when you go to Romania you realize that the real content and owners are firms like Time Warner which provide most of the news the people see there. It's in their language, using a familiar and appealing face (for that demographic), but it's Time Warner. Telemundo is NBC, using Spanish and some people with black hair and a little bit more brown skin, but they say exactly what NBC tells them to say and of course it's an entirely liberal narrative and pro Democrat. Pin on Convergence Correct me if this is wrong, but I heard this before and someone actually broke this down in more detail (I wish I still had the material), but something like 90% of what the average person hears, reads and sees comes from a mere 6 sources at the top: Now, sometimes this creates a funny situation (I am sure they are at least trying to create more of the illusion today that you have variation because they have been called out on this numerous times): https://youtu.be/hWLjYJ4BzvI But what do we do about this?

The concentration of information is real. At some point along the way, the malicious media companies realized they were the 4th branch of govt.

There is a serious absence of awareness and concern over the true structure of the MSM. On occasion, I’m criticized for mentioning the obvious. Most think the enemy is the scripted boob staring into the camera.

The predatory media corps provide the treats that satisfy their complacent patrons — from Mickey Mouse to telecom services.

Looking at this coronavirus bullshit, I have to agree with you.

It is apparent who was leading and who reacted:

-The media defined the narrative and so called crisis.

-Politicians reacted like amoebas (stimulus - response) to the crisis.

The timeline here sort of tells who is actually running things.

After all, let no crisis go to waste, and leadership is all about taking action in crisis, even if it’s an endeavor analogous to Don Quixote battling windmills.

I wonder, when will our Congress and some government agency regulate or outlaw sunspots? Solar flares? Geomagnetic reversal? What about that speed of light? It seems a little excessive to me. Can’t we put a speed limit on that? Why not?!?!?! If the US government is in the business of regulating climate change and a very contagious virus for which there is no vaccine, why not regulate those too?

We need someone good with picture editing tools to create a picture of Anthony Fauci on a horse with a lance charging at wind mills. Change the title to "Anthony Fauci, starring as Don Quixote in the epic tragedy of the Corona-virus." You need to explain things nowadays - be explicit and direct, all these kids getting their public education know about black female inner city poets but never learned the classics since that would entail too many dead white Christian males and not enough special groups.
