A long time ago in America, in Europe, and elsewhere you had the local papers, they belonged to many different people and you had many independent folks "reporting" on what was going on. Today, as you state, you really only have a handful of original content providers and these major conglomerates that own everything at a top level. You have 200+ channels but only 5 true owners at the top. Internationally 7 in the Western world (5 of 7 are US, tells about our influence a little). Even when you go to Romania you realize that the real content and owners are firms like Time Warner which provide most of the news the people see there. It's in their language, using a familiar and appealing face (for that demographic), but it's Time Warner. Telemundo is NBC, using Spanish and some people with black hair and a little bit more brown skin, but they say exactly what NBC tells them to say and of course it's an entirely liberal narrative and pro Democrat. Pin on Convergence Correct me if this is wrong, but I heard this before and someone actually broke this down in more detail (I wish I still had the material), but something like 90% of what the average person hears, reads and sees comes from a mere 6 sources at the top: Now, sometimes this creates a funny situation (I am sure they are at least trying to create more of the illusion today that you have variation because they have been called out on this numerous times): https://youtu.be/hWLjYJ4BzvI But what do we do about this?

The concentration of information is real. At some point along the way, the malicious media companies realized they were the 4th branch of govt.

There is a serious absence of awareness and concern over the true structure of the MSM. On occasion, I’m criticized for mentioning the obvious. Most think the enemy is the scripted boob staring into the camera.

The predatory media corps provide the treats that satisfy their complacent patrons — from Mickey Mouse to telecom services.
