President Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order to prevent illegal immigrants from being counted for the purposes of re-drawing congressional districts after the 2020 census -- reheating a fiery debate from last year on if illegal immigrants should be counted in the census.
"There used to be a time when you could proudly declare, 'I am a citizen of the United States.' But now, the radical left is trying to erase the existence of this concept and conceal the number of illegal aliens in our country," Trump said in a statement accompanying the apportionment memorandum on “Ensuring American Citizens Receive Proper Representation in Congress.”
"This is all part of a broader left-wing effort to erode the rights of Americans citizens, and I will not stand for it," he said.
The order says that for the purposes of reapportionment, "it is the policy of the United States to exclude from the apportionment base aliens who are not in a lawful immigration status...to the maximum extent feasible and consistent with the discretion delegated to the executive branch."
Census counts are used to determine the allocation of seats in the House of Representatives, the number of electors in the Electoral College and hundreds of billion dollars of federal spending. However, it is not clear how the administration would determine who was in the country illegally since the census currently does not either include a citizenship question, or the additional question about legal immigration status.

If Mexico has a really good voter registration and verification system, maybe we should cross reference our voter registration database with theirs. It would be interesting to see how many people registered to vote in the US are actually considered Mexican citizens with voting rights.
A Mexican president encouraged people to vote in both elections and I’ve had FReepers tell me that it is okay for dual citizens to vote in another country’s election besides America.
Except that immigrants are supposed to renounce their FORMER nationality.
And Canadians proudly become American to vote against Republican presidents and yet insist that they are STILL Canadian.

Those who live in Chicago already voted at their local public library. In the reshaped 3rd Congressional district Daniel Lipinski lost because of redistricting. Which had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to his 23rd in a district that dealt exclusively with city issues such as a subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway Wards which were reliable Dan’s father William O Lipinski supporters. But since most had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistricted and assigned to Gutieriez’s district.Those results are posted below which actually tear up the concept of a neighborhood.

It’s ridiculous today, I grew up in AOCs district in New York city and there’s rumors going on there that she had illegals vote for her thus her surprise win and her obsession with illegals. I believe it basically because everyone living there hates her guts. But how would she do that? Easy. The only requirement to register to vote in NY is proof of address like a cellphone bill and *poof*, you can vote. That BS has got to end!
He has to get another term.

Years past Conservative Inc. lectured us that questioning elections and illegals voting is ridiculous. Trump’s success has exposed them as leftists. Real election tampering is happening and must be fought against.
