Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY) announced Tuesday that it will remove the name of Margaret Sanger, who founded the national organization, because of her racist legacy and her connections to the eugenics movement.
Planned Parenthood's Manhattan Margaret Sanger Health Center will be renamed, and city officials are also working to rename the nearby “Margaret Sanger Square.” The organization said the new name would be announced soon.
Sanger, who was a nurse, established the first birth control clinic in the U.S., which would eventually become the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
The PPGNY said the decision came out of "a public commitment to reckon with its founder’s harmful connections to the eugenics movement."
Eugenics is a discredited, racist theory that states that the human race can be "improved" through selective breeding of those with "desirable" traits. The theory often pin-pointed poor people, people of color, those with disabilities and other marginalized groups.
The organization said in a statement that the renaming of the building was an "overdue step" to acknowledge the legacy of Planned Parenthood's harm to communities of color.

You know, that’s a really good idea. Hope some pro-life organization picks up on it. Make it a yearly award, and keep abortion statistics on all the clinics to pick the best choice of a clinic that bumps off in particular the most black or minority (Hispanic, whatever) babies. Then announce it at an event guaranteed to get the most publicity.
Meanwhile have pro-life storm troopers go out onto all the talking heads programs (TV, radio, computer shows) that they can garner, to spread the word so that it becomes a yearly event that folks can rally around and get the most attention for the pro-life cause while also influencing as many citizens as possible to the evils of abortion.
How about the person that contributed the most to killing the black unborns?

Nope. Not good enough. The entire organization needs to go due to its historical stain.... well that and the baby murdering.
Such an award warrants some consideration, but it would backfire miserably with the current state of the media.
The only “headlines” would be that: “A pro-life group was giving out an award to the clinic which killed the most black babies”.
The media would not even mention that Planned Parenthood was the target. The only story was that pro-life people were applauding killing black babies! So, it doesn’t work.
We’re worried about being “racist”, but not murderers. Esp. of babies.
Or just Black Baby Lives Matter.

Where did they move it to? Maybe inside their building where they worship at her feet several times a day.
Barry Goldwater’s wife was a big PP proponent. I think Sanger spent her last 30 years with Arizona as home.
