On Monday, the day after the violent leftist attack on Michelle Malkin and her fellow conservatives at a pro-police rally in Denver, more information about the assailants came to light. For a refresher, my blog yesterday at American Thinker was the first draft of the history of this disturbing event. On Monday, an article by Lance Hernandez at KMGH-TV channel7 Denver identified the anti-police “counter protesters” who succeeded in violently shutting down the 6th annual pro-police rally, where Maltin was to be a featured speaker, as representing “the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and other Black Lives Matter supporters, including the Afro-Liberation Front.” In other words, revolutionary Marxist communists.

The Denver PD seems to be a PD that should be defunded. They protect rioters, but not peaceful people. Police departments like this are now part of the Brownshirt brigades.
Police who observe violent assaults and do nothing should be identified,and sued personally by the victims. If in the course of civil trials it becomes apparent that orders were given to stand down, then the Federal government ought to make criminal prosecutions of those that conspited to violate civil rights.
I disagree. I think most of those cops wanted to knock heads but they are under a stand down order.
Cops are trained to follow orders. If the corrupt administration tells them to ALLOW leftists/marxist/black power savages to attack and injure humans, then they will do it.
The complete responsibility is on the shoulders of the corrupt administration.

The cops are protecting their retirement — most of them are gonna do what those who are paying them tell them to do.

The answer is snipers.
The pro police folks had to know there would be trouble. Downtown Denver is not a hospitable place for conservative demonstrators/rallies. And what’s the point in holding a pro police rally when the police chief has been cozying up to the leftists?
Oh well, it got some publicity for the pro police group and they drew attention to the mess in downtown Denver. Maybe that makes it all worth it
But if they simply wanted to support a good upstanding department without being hassled by the left, there are scores of towns across Colorado that they could have rallied in
most, if not all, cops have been raised on a steady diet of “hate America” spewed at them from grade school thru college. They get it on TV and movies as well. My bet is that many of them, particularly those in large cities, actually sympathize with or support the rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists. In the cities, they are almost always run by a Chief of Police who is a political appointee who is appointed for his/her loyalty and obedience to the democrat party. This makes for a force that will gladly “stand-down” and allow rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists do what they do. Just look at Charlottesville where the police stood by blocks away and made no effort to keep the Antifa mob away from those who had a permit to peacefully demonstrate.
In the cities particularly, the cavalry aint coming, and if they do, they may just be a back up for the rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists.
Exactly, Mashood. I’m a 60+ female, pro-Second Amendment but not a part of the gun culture by any means, and I found myself daydreaming about snipers! You’d only have to pop two or three per “event,” and the others would get the message. As it is, there’s no threat of arrest, let alone bodily harm, to these rioters. They’re enjoying themselves. Under what other circumstances would a lily-white spoiled coed (of either sex) be allowed to scream the N-word and other filth directly into the face of a black cop with no consequences?
That’s exactly what the Antifa wants....
To win public opinion just for a short enough time to take over....
Beat them at the polls this November.....
