Gathering up primers by the thousands, 8# jugs of powder, gas checks for CB loads, scrap lead/linotype & empty brass is “a good thing” now & for the future.
Personally, I shoot a lot of .300SAV, .30-06, & 9.3x62mm with my homebrew GCCB & am getting about 7-8 reloads of my “once-fired cases”.
(.300SAV brass is easily reformed from 7.62NATO & my treasured Model 760 Remington pump-rifle that was “reformatted” into a 9.3x62mm by JES happily accepts fire-formed Lake City cases that I get FREE by the hundreds from a Garand match shooter, who doesn’t reload. = My last “haul” was well over 1000 empty Lake City cases.)
Note: Short possibly of a T-Rex, the “old school” 9.3x62mm loaded with GCCB in 285 grain @ 2000FPS will swiftly STOP any critter that one might see (including feral bulls to 2000#) & W/O damaging much edible meat, presuming that you are “a good shot”.
(Similarly, my homebrew GCCB loads in 180 grains work WELL in my Model 760 pumps in .300SAV/.308WCF/.30-06 Springfield & are quite suitable for taking any creature in the Western Hemisphere with the exception of the BIGGEST Bears..)
Addenda: C.E Harris’ famous “The Load” for every common rifle caliber with a capacity greater than the old-school .250-3000 Savage works WELL for hunting most any game to 200KG & out well beyond 200M. -The load is easy on rifles, easy on your shoulder & DIRT CHEAP to load with GCCB/inexpensive bulk powders.

Full metal jackets or even non-lead bullets although one would have to take into account different and perhaps less effective ballistics. I would opt for heavier metals for the range and impact energy.
