Florida, Georgia courts to hear challenges to mandatory mask policies
UPI ^ | July 21, 2020 | Daniel Uria

Judges in two states will hear legal arguments Tuesday against new mandatory face mask requirements -- which opponents, including the governor of Georgia, are fighting in court.

...

the new rules .. have been met with fierce opposition.

In Atlanta, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has sued Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to block an order requiring masks for all persons in public places..

...

Tuesday morning, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kelly Ellerbe will hear the legal challenge in a case that could set a key precedent for similar orders nationwide. The hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Kemp also signed an executive order that overrules local ordinances requiring face coverings and bars similar orders in the future. He says the state has the right to impose a less-stringent guideline that only "strongly urged" the use of masks.

...

Governor Kemp must be allowed, as the chief executive of this state, to manage the public health emergency without Mayor Bottoms issuing void and unenforceable orders which only serve to confuse the public

...

In Pam Beach County, Fla., a similar court hearing will be held on Tuesday to weigh a lawsuit filed by residents upset with the county's public requirement for face coverings.

...

attorney Cory Strolla is representing several Palm Beach County residents in the suit and argues that the commissioners overstepped their "constitutional boundaries."

"A medical face mask used for medical purposes is a medical device," he said. "Under Florida constitutional case and law, a government entity cannot force you into a medical treatment."

...

The ultimate outcomes of the cases may influence opposition to mask policies in other states, including Ohio and New York.

Masks may cut 15 minute in-store shopping infection spread by 90%.

Masks may be nearly worthless to prevent transmission in schools where students spend six hours in a classroom.

I wear a mask as recommended, but I know that I’m on my third respiratory infection since I started wearing masks.

Slowing the spread of infection is nearly pointless when governments are slowing the introduction of vaccines.

Masks may cut 15 minute in-store shopping infection spread by 90%.

What percentage of the current infections are due to a 15-minute exposure in a store, and would a 90% reduction affect the overall rate?

What type of masks and masking procedures are required to achieve this 90% reduction level?

Don’t need a vaccine because hydroxychloroquine + zinc, and now Budesonide protocols are available and have been shown effective in use. Also, they are far cheaper and safer than any vaccine

Why would you continue to wear a mask if you’ve gotten 3 respiratory infections from them?

A good Do-Be. “They” said I must, “They” must be smarter than me.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you've fully recovered.

That is the downside to wearing a mask, just as there are downsides with deaths due to suicide/ovedose/lack of medical care during a lockdown. We are all victims of Dr. Tony Fauci and his one-dimensional static analysis of every problem.

‘There will not be a vaccine...for COVID 19.’

sure there will; just after the election, some placebo will be formulated, put into syringes and shot into people, who then will not die; of course, they would not have died anyhow, but that’s beside the point...all the scaredy cats will be mollified, and peace will be on us...

doesn’t matter if it actually does anything or not; people have proven they will buy anything if an ‘expert’ says it, so they’ll buy this, and since they didn’t die, they’ll attribute it to the vaccine...but this can’t happen until after the election, so the maximum political value can be wrung out of it...

May? How about ‘probably not’?

My fear is that we are going to see an outbreak of bacterial and fungal respiratory infections that will make COVID pale by comparison. We’ve just told tens of millions of people that you have to wear a mask, even though you’ve never worn one before.

Go to Walmart and you’ll notice that most people can’t even keep their shirts clean. Do you really think they are keeping those masks clean?

Of course if people start dying in large numbers of respiratory infections they’ll all get counted as COVID, which works for the Left.

This.
Masks are not healthy for anybody.
They do not stop the virus.
They are totally political.

Masks may cut 15 minute in-store shopping infection spread by 90%.

++++

Do you happen to have a link, for that?

If there were ANY in-store infection spread, look at all of the grocery workers AND shoppers who would’ve keeled over BEFORE the masks were recommended, or mandated.

Only....they didn’t.

~~~~~~
I wear a mask as recommended, but I know that I’m on my third respiratory infection since I started wearing masks.
+++++
I know three people who have to wear masks, for work, on up to 8 hour spans. They ALL complain of chest irritation and/or severe headaches, during and afterward.
~~~~~~~

Slowing the spread of infection is nearly pointless when governments are slowing the introduction of vaccines.

+++++

I don’t see any gov’t that slowing vaccines. In fact, all I see is the constant promotion of vaccines. Even by our own gov’t.

I’ve also read how numerous vaccines may even be detrimental or dangerous, to the *innoculated*.

In China, when WuFlu first came to the surface, it was questioned if people who’d received a previous SARS vaccine were actually MORE suseptible to this China Virus...and, possibly, suffered even more damage, due to that vaccine.

That, and the fact that Faux-chi and Gates are BOTH heavily invested in vaccines and expensive, trial treatments.....NO THANKS!
