Surgeon General Jerome Adams begged Fox News' audience on Monday to wear face masks to help contain the spread of the coronavirus and to avoid thinking of the health measure as a violation of their rights.
Adams stressed that President Donald Trump has recently said he supports mask-wearing, despite his refusal to implement a federal mask mandate.
"I'm pleading with your viewers, I'm begging you, please understand that we are not trying to take away your freedoms when we say wear a face covering," Adams said during a "Fox and Friends" interview.
He went on, "We are not trying to take away your ability to go out when we say keep restaurant capacity under 50%. We are saying if we do these things, we can actually open and stay open. We can get back to school, to worship, to jobs. We can do this."

But, I could make lists and list of references to actual science, but then people go and just say anything without thinking. This is like saying communism works if people would just do it right. The facts just don’t support the wishful thinking.
There are actually controlled studies (i.e., real control groups under controlled conditions) which show there is not statistically significant improvement in infection rates with N95 masks for respiratory viruses. Government stooges and media simply choose to ignore them.

You live and die by the choices you make. It is your responsibility. I dont always wear a seat belt around my chest because it chokes me due to placement on my neck despite trying different devices. I assume the risk and am responsible for the results.

The double talk gets under my skin. The Surgeon General would be more credible if he lamented the need to diminsih freedom, instead of pretending that orders to do such and so don’t have an anti-freedom aspect.
Recent reports of a lone fisherman who went to sea for a month, had tested negative for the Rona just as he left for sea, but upon his return tested positive.
Maybe it’s in the air.

Unless you are willing to wear a mask in perpetuity and/or practice social distancing forever, the minute restrictions are loosened, there will once again be an outbreak of the virus as you are merely prolonging the inevitable until herd immunity is reached and the virus plays itself out.
Risk is a part of life, you take what precautions you believe are necessary, and then from that point out life is a crap shoot. Get on with it, and stop capitulating to the control freaks out there who want you to walk around like a herd of lemmings heading towards the sea with your precious little masks on. Its your choice, not the all encompassing gov’t dictates. Figure that out. Fools all.
