ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Mega-donor George Soros (right), who funded the ongoing Ferguson protests, has waded into the St. Louis City circuit attorney election, funding a television ad for state Rep. Kim Gardner (left). Gardner will compete with three others in the primary election Aug. 2.

At least one ad funded by by Soros’ Safety and Justice committee has been created for Gardner. The ad focuses on Gardner’s plan to Kim Gardner’s Plan to focus on mental health care for non-violent offenders, increase public accountability and to crack down on gang violence.

This isn’t Soros’ first foray into a local prosecutor election over the past couple of years. He’s funded candidates in places as different as Houston, Texas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; two races in Mississippi; Bossier City, Louisiana and Chicago.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Soros also funded multiple groups, including Safety and Justice California, to support the state’s Proposition 47, approved by voters in 2014 and which reclassified possession of heroin, methamphetamine and other illegal drugs, and theft of $950 or less, as misdemeanors in California.

Yep. They broke down a gate to get onto their property thinking it was a alley as I recall.

These are trial lawyers, after all. And deep blue ones before the S hit their fan.

Karma demands they go through the muck. Karma also demands the governor pardon them.

Put your money where your outrage is. Contribute to her opponent in the upcoming Democrat primary (there is no Republican in St. Louis).

Doesn’t MO have Castle Doctrine? And, Stand Your Ground? (Hint: Yes, to both).

Why is this commie prosecutor moving ahead with this? Makes no sense, unless it is Soros pulling the strings, still.

Sad. Felony charges also carry the possibility these folks could lose their 2nd Amendment rights, also.

They weren’t at a protest, they were on their property. Additionally they didn’t use any firearms.

This is SOOOOOOOO true. In most jurasdictions, they are the law. They make sure they get the goods on anyone who matters, especially the newspaper folks and basically get away with murder.

I had a run in with a local DA in 1999. Got his ass voted out of office. Phil Collins line is appropriate here..........

I am very sure that would just about lock in for a reelection, if he is able to serve.

He is, but he's busy shooting himself in the foot over other things.

I would like to see the governor go to this couple’s house with a set of bolt cutters, remove their ankle tracking devices and then drive over to the Soros DA’s office and throw them on her desk.

Kim Gardner should be stripped naked, dipped in tar and feathers, and dragged behind a mule with the runs for a few miles out of town. Then she should be fired and jailed for her GROSS miscarriage of justice.

Can you pardon an indictment or would he have to wait for conviction?

Richard Nixon was pardoned even before an indictment.

This is going to be a very divisive issue.

Ya think?

Yes. That much was clear in the videos.

They should sue AP. There was no need to mention their race, it had nothing to do with the story. I remember way back sometimes newspapers would describe a suspect as a negro. This was deemed to be racist and unnecessary. The same can be said of this couple. Their race was mentioned only to paint them as villains or the stereotype of “rich white people”.

Since the husband is a lawyer, I think that he would know what to do.

Prosecutors have absolute immunity, created for them by the Supreme Court.
