I Tried It: Rite Aid’s Do-It-Yourself COVID-19 Test

Sub-title: If you've ever wanted to tickle your brain, now is your chance.

Rite Aid came out with its do-it-yourself COVID-19 test in April. This is a viral test, meaning it will tell you if you have the virus. It is not an antibody test. And when Rite Aid first made the announcement, the test was only for those with COVID-19 symptoms. You had to fill out an online questionnaire to determine your eligibility. And I had no symptoms, so I wasn’t eligible.

But just recently, Rite Aid changed its policy. Now, anybody can sign up for the test. And the test is free. There is no charge. So, knowing that people are always asking where and how they can get tested, I signed up. And, public interest aside, it would obviously be good to know if I have COVID-19, even though I feel fine.

Nope. At least the one I had was not the deep nasal swab, it was a simple inside the nostril swab. There are two types of tests and mine was the new, less invasive type. Here's a short video explaining the process I went thru at the Rite Aid testing site.

If you have symptoms you need to find a doctor that will prescribe HCQ, Zithromax and Zinc.

If you wait to be admitted your chances drop drastically.

Covid-free this morning does not equal Covid-free this evening, so its value is questionable at best, misleading at worst.

If you start feelin "off" and it lasts a couple of days, it would make sense to be tested. It is way less debilitating if caught early and treated promptly.

“The virus test is less than worthless. Covid-free this morning does not equal Covid-free this evening, so its value is questionable at best, misleading at worst.”

The more tests the more cases and it is the number of cases not the number of actual afflictions that are screeched in the headlines and have dim governors re-restricting small businesses, insisting on masks when outside - and generally stirring up the karens to do things like watch for people on their driveways and getting into their cars without a mask, riding bikes without masks etc.

The medical profession generally won’t treat mild covid symptoms. They uniformly tell patients to go home and report breathing problems or high fever.

Better to self-medicate (even before symptoms) with quercetin, zinc, vitamin D, and NAC, and keep ivermectin for when symptoms appear. Other anti-virals don’t hurt.
