President Trump said his niece Mary L. Trump was not exactly a family favorite and that he and his family didnt have a lot of respect or like for her.
Trump made the comments during an exclusive interview on Fox News Sunday a few days after his nieces tell-all, Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the Worlds Most Dangerous Man, set a first-day record for Simon & Schuster after the publisher said Thursday it sold 950,000 copies, including presales. During the interview Trump called his nieces book stupid and vicious.
Host Chris Wallace noted that one of Mary Trumps main points is that she said President Trumps father Fred Trump Sr. damaged the whole family.
Speaking on ABC News on Thursday she said, He learned to become the killer you mentioned. The man who needs to succeed at all costs ... who will do anything to get attention, financial rewards and to win.
During the exclusive interview, Wallace asked President Trump, Do you see any truth in that?
My father liked to win, Trump said in response. My father was a very good man. He was a strong man.
Its disgraceful that she said that, he continued, then noting that she was not exactly a family favorite and we didnt have a lot of respect or like for her.
I wouldve never said that except she writes a book thats so stupid and so vicious and its a lie, Trump went on to say. My father was a great, wonderful man.

Bad people who insist on calling themselves relatives can be a problem.
These are almost all "sight unseen" sales. The question is whether word of mouth from these buyers (and stores) and borrowed copies will be so stellar that it continues to set new sales records and has to be reprinted. . .
In other words, I'd put my money on the remainder bin and the mulch factory for this one. The odds that a noob writer had anything fascinating to say, had an eye for the telling detail that convinces, told a great story that made the ghostwriter's work easy, plus is a real looker with a gift for interviews and "the camera loves her" . . . are slim. This was sold for the advance and the one-day pop. Don't hold your breath--the publisher won't.
But if you have a case of it in good shape you might be able to send your kids through college with it.
Many families have someone like her that they try to avoid.
We remember Billy Beer 45 years later. I suspect Miss Trump will be forgotten sometime next week

Trump is telling it straight, but his best defense is to get back on the MAGA offense. No more Wallace ambush interviews.
And, by then, you probably had already made at least ten or eleven "Tinkle-Time-in-Texas" trips to the restroom.
Now, THERE’S a thought...
The Kennedys wouldve had her lobotomized.
I believe I read something Saturday that indicated she and DJT had never met.
His comment to Wallace seemed to indicate she was always like the “black sheep” in the family herd.
I suppose that should be FLOCK, instead of herd.
