President Donald Trumps drift towards an endorsement of DACA and pro-immigration policies threatens his reelection campaign, says Steven Levy, the former top executive leader of Suffolk County in New York.
It is not worth abandoning your base over your this, Levy said in an interview with Breitbart News. Youre not going to get many votes out of this, he added.
How do you justify importing more workers when a good portion of your workers are sitting at home? asked Levy, who was twice elected as chief executive of New Yorks Suffolk County, with 1.5 million residents. It is absurd
[and] if we dont push back, hell do it.
It isnt to say were not grateful for him being the best fighter on the federal level on illegals, but he cant give up now when he has come so far, said Levy, who won 96 percent of the Long Island districts vote for his 2008 to 2012 term.

These people really do think that Trump supporters are stupid and docile. Its so obvious who the enemy is to the great country that is the USA and to its great constitution.
The democrats completely lost the 2020 election months ago.

Trump is going to give a merit based answer to DACA.... no more, no less. He has offered it before. Those in this forum who refer to Trump as being a ‘weasel’ are leftest hacks who have always infiltrated this forum.
To: rintintin
He has never changed his views on this. Who are you going to vote for Biden?

The pure political calculus of the situation is this:
Trump has an opening with Hispanics because BLM has forced the Democrats to start giving the store away to Blacks.
The courts have been telegraphing that they’re going to force Trump to keep DACA anyway. So he may as well gain something from it.
Trump has little fear that any of us are going to vote for Biden.
We may not like it but those are the facts.

Read the proposal.I'd love to ... link?
Any incoming H1-Bs have to meet conditions.
There are already "conditions" on H-1B - which were carefully designed for easy evasion.

As one Freeper noted, Trump keeps deliberately doing things in such a way that his efforts will be struck down by the courts - [Quote: the court relied on the fact that Trump did not actually rescind DACA with an Executive Order. He had one of the agencies do it thru rule-making]. That is an interesting point.

Nobody is going to vote for Joe Biden instead of Trump over this. Not with Dementia Joe heartily endorsing more H-1B, no. But they may stay home, or vote third party; this is a literal bread-and-butter issue for many Americans.

How do you know his DACA initiative will be a bad initiative.I think Breitbart is being proactive: making sure our President knows before committing to anything that this is a bread-and-butter issue to a significant portion of his base.

I worry that doing DACA signals Trump thinks he might be behind.

GOP Activists Predict DefeatI must say, this part of the headline is not supported by any of the article's text. Hysteria doesn't serve the cause of American jobs for Americans.

The DACA announcement was one of the most stupid decisions made by this administration.
They just made the entire election about the scale of which an amnesty is going to be done.
That isn’t going to play well in the Rust Belt.

The whole point of this CCP Virus hoax was to condition those "Americans" who want to work into the belief that Working is for fools. My wife went into Dollar Store this week and the clerk there said they were having to hire all new workers because the old ones were making more on unemployment than they would if they returned to work.
No chance that was planned is there? GOPe are either very gullible, stupid or complicit you pick. Of course I guess they could be all three but, oh well.....

I would certainly agree. Hoping that the important margin of voters can read the actions of the anti-American elements and vote accordingly. It all gets down to that on Nov. 3rd. Big showdown.

[Steve Levy is just that. A fake Trump supporter. He is typical of what calls itself Republicans in the NYC area.]
When a GOP pol in RINO-ish Long Island objects to a DACA amnesty, you don’t want to hear the expletives being uttered by GOP pols in the Midwest. WTF is probably the least of these off-color expressions. Trump might or might not be able to win an election if he shoots someone on 6th Ave. A DACA amnesty, however, will definitely eliminate his chances of re-election.
