Militarized federal agents wearing camouflaged outfits took to the streets of Portland, Oregon on Friday in unmarked vans, grabbing and detaining protesters while unleashing tear gas in what state Governor Kate Brown described as “a blatant abuse of power.”
The Democratic governor of Oregon said President Donald Trump was seeking confrontation as a way of winning political points while also trying to distract citizens from his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Oregon has seen a surge in COVID-19 cases recently, while a number of other states across the US have also reported significant rises in infections.
Brown’s spokesman, Charles Boyle, said that detaining people in this manner is “extraordinarily concerning and a violation of their civil liberties and constitutional rights.”
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) echoed the sentiments of Brown’s office. “Usually when we see people in unmarked cars forcibly grab someone off the street we call it kidnapping,” said Jann Carson, interim executive director of the ACLU. “The actions of the militarized federal officers are flat-out unconstitutional and will not go unanswered.”
Oregon Mayor Ted Wheeler joined the chorus of disapproval, demanding Trump recall the federal agents he deployed. …

I’ve never seen Antifa protest in any other county in Oregon. Not saying it hasn’t happened, just can’t recall them rioting anywhere but Portland and Seattle. They feel safe in their urban enclaves.
If they pulled this crap in about 30 other counties in Oregon, they’d get shit kicked out of them. Hell, my wife has derelict family members on the Eastside of Portland that would probably do it for free.

The protest have been going on for weeks. The fed’s are protecting their property with whatever federal officers they have at their disposal.
Earlier in the month this summarized some of the problems.
I understand not trusting the FBI to some extent, but why would Homeland Security be a safer bet? they can’t do false flags of their own?

The original story was aired by Oregon Public Broadcasting and the kid's name is Pettibone. He also made the claim “I am basically tossed into the van,” Pettibone said. “And I had my beanie pulled over my face so I couldn’t see and they held my hands over my head.”

IIRC, someone got a photo of the tag of the unmarked car in question. Turned out to be a Florida tag. Should be easy to trace.
It is closing in on The Election in a very weird year. These accusations are just going to increase as they try to get the mud to stick. FYI, a ‘Black Activist’, Rizza Islam, is claiming, without offering the smallest shred of proof, that ‘White Nationalists’ are donning black silicone bodysuits to shoot-up Chicago Streets. To date, no one has fitted him with a wrap-around white ‘suit’!
The one I saw looked phony. Two guys getting out of a mini van 70 ft from their objective who do the manly stride-I’m-ignoring-you-walk, unopposed (the dog that didn’t bark), across all that distance. Gaping, goggling target rioter just standing there and being led off meekly (there’s that dog not barking again). Walking the rioter all that distance back again.
A hot street pickup has NEVER in the history of the world been done like this. Not unless, like the Gestapo, you own the field and have military backup present or nearby.

The mayor needs to relax and a midol. They’re getting tossed into vans not thrown out of helicopters.
