The chief of police credited an officer with using the “highest level of professionalism” in dealing with a city councilwoman who made racially-charged remarks to him when he issued her a parking ticket.

The incident occurred when Darlington Police Officer Paul Bryant encountered an illegally parked SUV in the area of Oak Street on June 17, WMBF reported.

Officer Bryant later filed a police report about the incident that accused Baccus of verbally harassing him, WPDE reported.

The abuse Police officers have to take is sad. This councilwoman should be expelled because of the way she acted...her actions where wrong and she has only herself to blame.

...and the “of color” crowd lament that they have to have “the talk” with the young males. However, what the young males SEE for most of their formative years is contempt and disrespect of ALL authority.

Whereas ranting female offenders generally don’t create much of a heightened adrenaline rush at a LEO encounter... Change this encounter to a young hormone-raged, adrenaline-rushed, yute of color and this has a much greater potential for volatility.

So having “the talk” is much more effective if it is accompanied by a lifetime of demonstrations of appreciation for and respect of ALL authority.
