Walmart and Sam's Club shoppers will be required to wear face masks to prevent coronavirus spread in all stores starting July 20, the company announced Wednesday.
"Currently about 65 percent of our more than 5,000 stores and clubs are located in areas where there is some form of government mandate on face coverings. To help bring consistency across stores and clubs, we will require all shoppers to wear a face covering," the retail giant said in a blog post.

Try this next time a STUPID store clerk tells you to wear a mask:
Store Sentry: “You have to wear a mask to enter our store.”
Me: “I can’t wear a mask.”
Store Sentry: “Why is that?”
Me: “I have a mental health condition. Very rare in Washington DC.”
Store Sentry: “Oh, yeah? And what is that?”
Me: “Sanity.”
Oxygen deprived mask wearers.
Haven’t noticed?
Watch them, look into their eyes.
Watch their manerism’s.
Or, use common sense people!
If you are visiting sick or the elderly... Wear a mask.
In the beer aisle? Pick up and leave.
So even in low risk/no risk areas where no local edicts have been established? Stupid beyond words.

OSHA SAYS MASKS DON’T WORK — AND VIOLATE OSHA OXYGEN LEVELS
Masks don’t work:
No RCT study with verified outcome shows a benefit for HCW or community members in households to wearing a mask or respirator. There is no such study. There are no exceptions. Likewise, no study exists that shows a benefit from a broad policy to wear masks in public

“So if you have COPD or asthma, youll be asked to leave the store? Or what?”
You can do curb side delivery. I was doing that before this virus started.
There have been about 440 positives with 6 deaths in my county.
I believe all associated with 1 nursing home.
Half that in the county where I work.
PA, like NY and NJ forced nursing homes and rehab facilities to admit infected patients when there was no way they had proper training or equipment to deal with it.
68% of all covid deaths in PA were in extended care facilities.
Wal Mart pays suppliers in 180 days.
Except for agriculture products in some states...
And to top it off, at least half the people aren't wearing them correctly, anyway.
For example...think of the millions who are too stupid or otherwise unable to obtain an ID for voting purposes.
How in hell are they supposed to figure out where to get a mask, and then learn how to wear it?
There are reasons for that, smart ass.
First off, one of the main reasons surgeons mask is to protect themselves against being splattered by blood (and sometimes guts).
Second, operating rooms are ventilated in such a way that the entire air turns over about 10 times per hour, so theres constantly a current or breeze if you will.
I know. I work in an OR. It feels very different to have a mask on in the operating room versus having the mask on when I step out into the hall. So check yourself.
I was in my local Wal-Mart this morning, probably a good 25% of the people who wore masked into the store pulled them down below their nose and moth by the time they hit the first aisle. I guess technically you are wearing a mask even if it’s down on your chin. I doubt Wal-Mart has the man power to chase every customer around the store and make sure they are wearing their mask correctly.
I’m in IL and it’s been mandatory here since perhaps May 1? Not by Gov. Prickster mandate but store policy, maybe it goes by regions? Anyhow that’s what Wally people announced, and they have someone at the door who prevents anyone from going in without face covering and only when the person ahead has got their pre-sanitized cart and moved into the store.
Other big box stores and all grocery stores have the same policy, so for me it’s a matter of convenience to comply rather than incur the time and expense of driving an hour or more to a store that doesn’t. Have to say I like your southside Indy attitude and wish it was more common ;-) But here the Karens are plentiful - they’re the ones you see driving their own car, one occupant, wearing a mask...
They change them periodically when the masks get soiled.
Well, no more Walmart for me.
Freakin’ Nazis.
I’ve heard of curb delivery. I’m just wondering what WM and SC intend to do about people who have been going in with the excuse of respiratory issues, and up to now have been allowed to remain in the store. Will they be asked to leave the premises? Refused entry at the door?

If my not wearing a mask upsets you...YOU need to buy a better mask.
This is what I tell people.
