Yes, he could.
There are other steps as well.
President Trump should not side-step the Governor.
The DOJ can pursue a Federal case against a persecutor who violates the constitutional rights of a U.S. citizen.
A pardon would indicate they did something wrong though.
They didnt do anything wrong.
President Trump should not side-step the Governor.
Agreed. He should, however, strongly encourage him to issue said pardon.
Today.

He should know that and it will be interesting to see if he does.
We can bet someone has a still photo out of a video taken at the site that shows the homeowners "pointing" a weapon at one or more of the rioters or waving it in their general direction. The sound track indicates repeated serious warnings to leave.
In defense of a "brandishing" charge, the issue may be whether a MO homeowner has such a legal right to do so in the face of a trespasser who has caused damage, who refuses to leave and who threatens more damage. In this regard, it will be interesting to know what was depicted on the signs carried by the rioters.
The constant thymic use of a militant drum by the rioters ought to also be relevant. "Peaceful" my a$$.
Should a Trump just wait until the couple attempts to call 911 go unanswered, after being shot, maybe fatally?
Have you ever faced down armed thugs, trapped with nothing but their bare hands to defend yourself.....and 911 doesnt answer?
Mo. Gov. taking a wait and see attitude or lets not rush to judgement here, isnt the answer.
Too bad this couples neighbors must be liberals who hate guns and hope their Black Lives Matter here signs on their lawns dont seem to work for this couple. They must surely be hoping and praying they are shot last!
