Dr. Ronny Jackson, President Donald Trump's former chief physician and one-time nominee for Veterans Affairs secretary, won a GOP primary runoff for a Texas congressional seat on Tuesday, CNN projects, defeating cattle industry lobbyist Josh Winegarner.
Trump had backed Jackson, who is a Texas native, while Winegarner had the support of outgoing 13th District Rep. Mac Thornberry, who announced last year that he would not run for reelection. The district is heavily conservative and was carried by Trump by more than 60 points. As a result, the Republican nominee is well positioned to keep the seat in GOP hands in the November general election.

Spoke with Ronny Jackson when he did a campaign stop for about 3 hours in our little panhandle town a few days before the July 14th primary ....... He’ll win 13th District easily .
Yeah Josh was bought and paid for yet he helped ruin the Cattle industry when he promoted / lobbied for corporations versus cattlemen ....... cattle prices crashed, yet prices for beef went way up for the consumers (12 dollar hamburger). As well Josh got caught using illegal cash for his PAC.
Cattle sales didn’t even cover the price of the fuel to drive em to market thus far this year. The best market here now if the Five Wire Beef Cow’s ..... buy straight from the rancher, local butcher processes it for your freezer. Cut the middle man completely out is what we do now to survive the corruption currently .
I have liked him ever since he spoke as the president’s physician. He is a REAL man!
