Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and ex-girlfriend of the late US convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been denied bail in a high-profile sex case.
At a hearing via video link, a New York judge said she would remain in custody while awaiting trial on charges of trafficking minors for Epstein.
Ms Maxwell, who pleaded not guilty, will go on trial in July 2021.
Her lawyers had said she was at risk of contracting coronavirus in prison.
Epstein died in prison on 10 August 2019 as he awaited his trial on sex trafficking charges.

Pity she didn’t she had Mueller on her tail, the trial would be set for next week.
Do they have the cameras watching her, and guards checking on her regularly? Epstein supposedly did and it didn’t save him.

That’s what I thought. At least in prison, there is some semblance of accountability when she commits suicide. If she was out, not so much.
No matter her crimes, I’m sorry, but a trail a year away. I thought, justice delayed, is justice denied. I prefer she receive, swift, brutal justice. If she is guilty and they have the proof, turn over the required evidence to defense and start the trail in two weeks.

I could not believe when I heard her trial was a year away. That seems to violate that part about a speedy trial.
I’m pretty sure jury trials have been indefinitely suspended due to COVID-19.

My guess is she dies of 6 rounds of COVID to the back of the head.
I am hoping she’s safely “tucked away” down in Gitmo.
Also, I say the year is fine. She can take the time to break down mentally and spill her guts. The fact that she’s pleading “not guilty” tells me she hasn’t started singing yet.
She’ll be found dead within 30 days.
