Arlo Kinsey was working behind the carryout counter at RJs Bob-Be-Que Shack in Mission last week when a middle-aged man dressed in a red Make America Great Again hat and no mask walked through the door.
I asked him if he could wear a mask, since its what Gov. Kelly told us to do, said Kinsey, 18, who was working shifts at the barbecue joint this summer before heading off to college. He had dealt with a handful of customers who refused to wear masks inside the restaurant despite the statewide mandate but none like this, he said.
The man said he had an exemption to the mask order: He then lifted up his shirt, revealing a gun in a holster on his hip.
It was definitely a threat, Kinsey said. I was looking at the gun thinking he was going to shoot me.
My first thought was, I work in customer service and this is really whats going to happen? All were asking is that you wear a mask for a couple of minutes. We could have taken your order outside if you didnt want to. But you go into an air conditioned area without a mask on, and if I tell you to wear one, youre going to shoot me? Wow. I make $8.50 an hour, plus tips for this?
Kinsey called for his boss, Bob Palmgren, owner of the 17-year-old restaurant in suburban Kansas City, off Lamar Avenue and Johnson Drive in Mission. Palmgren was in the back, working in the kitchen.

Worse than that... its freedom derangement. Most likely fake news. I am not going anywhere that requires a mask.
Hubby wanted to eat out. In the peoples republic of nc, that requires a mask. We arent doing that again. I have to wear one 12 to 15 hours a day, inside my office. Iit is constantly moist and sneezing every day in it, it really healthy too.
In case you didn’t know, the cops aren’t showing up for much anymore. If the pistol wielder has left, they’ll take your information for a later report - they will not come out.
Not much point in calling the cops.
Oh god the horror
We are so bad
Agitation propaganda
Hm?.....Hoax? False flag?
If this really happened there’d be someone under arrest.
I don't support this guy flashing a firearm but it was not the business's rules the way I read it. The Gov created this unconstitutional rule. Are I wrong?
It’s a really great BBQ restaurant -— When Diners, Drivins and Dives did a KC BBQ restaurant guide, they did visit RJs. They’ve got an awesome Jalapeno Sausage.
Since the report does say that both the owner and an employee said it, it probably did happen. But I’m guessing that it’s yet another false flag operation.

Yep...I’m going with that too. Why are you always so observant? Think I will read your replies first and then post mine. FReepRegards!
Yes, that's all true. I have to wear one at work but I can take it off in my office. I wore one for three hours at a group event. 12 to 15 hours would be miserable.
The man said he had an exemption to the mask order: He then lifted up his shirt, revealing a gun in a holster on his hip.
By contrast:
And in NY, Cuomo mass-murdered hundreds or thousands in nursing homes:
All the false flags and hoax stories and people here jump to conclusions.

We’re treated like idiot cattle because we consistently behave as idiot cattle.
Handwringing only serves to call the predators to attack.
How dare an American citizen assert his right to not submit to destructionist bullshit.
And of course the wailing and weeping “oh my gawh! he’s making us look bad!”.
May the Lord Our God damn the weak and stupid among us.
>>>And in NY, Cuomo mass-murdered hundreds or thousands in nursing homes:<<<
From what I’ve read, Cuomo ONLY Murdered 5,500 Old Folks.
So if the owner of the restaurant had pulled out a gun and shot this idiot would you agree he was asserting his right to protect is place of business?
Agreed, and it just fuels the BS about it being dangerous to “allow” people to carry firearms with them. IF the story turns out to be true, I would fully support the prosecution of this person. You have every right to defend yourself and every right to use the best available tools in order to do so. But you do not have the right to threaten someone else’s life with no just cause.
Agreed. I've had their brisket and their burnt end sandwich.
It's a county mandate. Not sure what would make it unconstitutional.
A name or it didn’t happen
I am unable to discern the exact story from the tale being told by the 18 yr old, though the adult owner did say the man was a regular and most if not all of his regulars have resisted the KS Gov.s rollback to mandates over suggestions to must wear!
