In keeping with league policy on political statements, the official online store of the NBA does not permit fans to order a custom jersey with the phrase "Free Hong Kong" printed on the back.
"Free Hong Kong" is one of the many phrases banned under the NBA's new jersey policy, which allows players to display certain political messages such as "Black Lives Matter," but prohibits messages critical of the Chinese regime.
Typing "Free Hong Kong" into the text box on the NBA store's custom jersey page returns the following message: "We are unable to customize this item with the text you have entered. Please try a different entry."
Here are some of the phrases that don't receive such a warning:

Laura Ingraham just had a segment on this. A reporter at Fox called and was given the runaround about not being able to put that in. NBA later called a Fox producer and told them the “problem” had been fixed.

I sincerely hope the NBA ceases to exist. Their flagrant disregard for the suffering of much-persecuted religious groups, for people fighting for their freedom, for much of anything other than virtue-signalling or making money off the suffering of others qualifies them as Not Worth a Dang. They should cease taking up space and oxygen forthwith.
I think that because of COVID the NBA should shutdown forever. It’s the safe thing to do. It’s the right thing to do. Just shut down for the health of the nation. It is depending upon it.
Step up NBA, release your players from the burdens of their salaries so that they can return to their roots and work for the social justice that they crave.
