California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday ordered a halt to indoor activities at certain businesses statewide as cases of coronavirus surge in the country’s most populous state.

Newsom, a Democrat, announced during a press briefing that all bars across the state must close up shop and that restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, family entertainment centers, zoos, museums and card rooms must suspend indoor activities.

The governor also announced that all gyms, places of worship, malls, personal care services, barbershops, salons, and non-critical offices in counties on the state’s “monitoring list” had to shut down under the new order. The order affects more than 30 counties which are home to about 80 percent of California’s population.

In particular the Dems are intent on scaring the heck out of seniors. They are a key Demo for the GOP in 2020.

The only indoor activity Americans should be doing at this point is CQB Room Clearing drills anyway.

Hay! You better stop talkin down to and about us CA FReepers in such a condescending manner or I'm telling your MOM!!!

Me and Mrs. Wasp signed the latest recall petition against Gov. Nuisance last week! Not only that, another ballot measure has qualified for the ballot on Nov. 3 as Proposition 22 to liberate Uber and Lyft rideshare drivers from the devastation of Assembly Bill #5 signed into law late last year by Gov. Nuisance. I hope all CA FReepers vote for that too!!!

Meanwhile I'm gonna remind your MOM to remind you not to rough-up your fellow FReepers in CA with such bad manners, ok?

Basically countermanding the Constitution in many ways. Yet the Federal DOJ does nothing.

Is there a recall drive? Californians successfully recalled Gary Davis. No reason why they can’t recall Gavin Newsom?

in Australia (alleged covid deaths 108) we have full-on emergency/catastrophe because of a couple of clusters which are fully explainable.
1,350 military personnel are now active in one State (Victoria), which has had 24 deaths since the “pandemic” began.
and yes, most people, and all FakeNewsMSM, are enthusiastically going along with it! pure madness:

13 Jul: Australia Dept of Health: Press conference in Melbourne about coronavirus (COVID-19)
Read the transcript of a press conference in Melbourne on 13 July 2020 about coronavirus (COVID-19).

Minister for Health Greg Hunt: Currently, there are 92 people with COVID in hospital across Australia. 18 now in ICU (IN VICTORIA), and I’m advised that there are 15 in intensive care across the country...
Around the country, we have 7,500 ICU beds that are available in terms of their ability to be converted at short notice...
https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-greg-hunt-mp/media/press-conference-in-melbourne-about-coronavirus-covid-19-0

18 in ICU in Victoria (which has 476 ICU beds), yet FakeNewsMSM is hyper-ventilating about the hospitals being overwhelmed. taxpayers pay for ABC:

AUDIO: 13 Jul: ABC Australia: Our biggest risk now is complacency, says Victoria’s Western Health infections diseases boss
By Linda Mottram on PM
Dr Marion Kainer (Head of Infectious Diseases at Western Health, Victoria) says the biggest risk now is public complacency. She says even with a lot of preparation, the current outbreaks could overwhelm the health system if people flout physical distancing rules.
https://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/pm/our-biggest-risk-now-is-complacency:-marion-kainer/12451096

this is just a WARNING how far it can go, if you don’t put a stop to the madness now?

“when the handouts end.”

I bet they get renewed. The ‘pubs in the House and the Senate will stampede to pass it, thinking appeasement works.

I doubt that conservatives in CA will descend on Sacramento like Michiganders did in Lansing. Californians are notorious for being laid-back and lackadaisical.

Oh, really?

Yours truly is in this crowd.

Yep. This ins’t based in ‘science’. This is purely opinion being used as a weapon to strip people of their constitutional rights.

They do realize that when the people get to the point of knowing they must TAKE BACK their rights, it isn’t going to end well for these tyrants.

This is insane that people believe they have authority to do this over ‘virus cases’. We’re not even talking about skyrocketing deaths, which would at least be a better argument. This isn’t an emergency. They have no authority to do this. WE THE PEOPLE do not agree you have this power under these circumstances.

It’s time that EVERYONE just ignore them. They can’t lock up everyone. It’s as though we need a new ‘Independence Day’ from tyrant governors. Pick a day of meaning, maybe LABOR DAY, and just resume our lives.

It won’t be challenged unfortunately the people here make more money not working and the news coverage is nothing here about how great a governor he is and how rotten the president is, sickening.

If any of you laid-back, lackadaisical Californians are reading this, come join us for a rally at Beach Blvd. and Holt in Westminster tomorrow from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM—on the west side of Beach near Target, Von’s and Lazy Dog. There will also be a rally at Hell’s Kitchen, a restaurant on Ortega Highway west of Lake Elsinore this coming Saturday, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Where’s this list? And does it include mosques?

The governor also announced that all gyms, places of worship, malls, personal care services, barbershops, salons, and non-critical offices in counties on the state’s “monitoring list” had to shut down under the new order.

The question isn't whether mosques are included or not, that doesn't really mean much. The question is, is will the State enforce these restrictions against the mosques at the same level as against churches?

California is doing an insane amount of testing. Since testing is free tons of people are just going to see if the have it. Employers are telling employees to go get tested often times more than once. Not to mention anyone getting the free test, who come up positive, go to their doctor where they are tested again. All those are “cases”.

Now Newsome can say numbers are up, shake his finger at us and continue to be the little dictator he wants to be.

Wow, what a sweetie you are. My comments in this vein have only been in response to posts of the “they can all drop dead” type. Let’s see your state deliver over 4 million votes for Trump, then you can pop off. All I’ve ever done is denounce our wretched tyranny but call upon others to acknowledge that those of us who regularly get our brains bashed in here in California, but never give up the the fight
