Let Them Go on Welfare. California Democrats know their new law is costing modest-income people their livelihoods — and they really just don’t care.

If I had to live in California, and successfully worked as a free-lance writer, I would go to Texas, Nevada, Washington or Wyoming and register a UPS Store address, and conduct all my business through it. I am assuming most of these folks are renters, so they should continue to shrink their CA footprint as much as possible.

The Democrats know that Castro, Mugabe, and Chavez lived like kings as they destroyed their countries.

The California revenue service is brutal. I doubt they could get away with it.

Even brutal revenue services have limited resources for small fries. Ideally, you use a confrere's address for the UPS store box. You can use UPS store addresses to register a car in the state with the box. RV folks due that routinely.

Has it occured to anyone that our businessman president might be far more knowledgeable of, and understand of this issue better, than the Corruptocrat politicians lining their own pockets?

“These were never good jobs.”
It is often the case that a bad job is better than no job. If the only job an employer offers is a bad job, the employer will lose employees when better jobs are available and the effect of this competition will make bad jobs better. Seems like no one in California understands things like that.

They’ll apparently try to claw back taxes if they don’t approve of how you’re using your out of state home once you’ve fled.

When people think there is no dignity in meeting your own needs through your own efforts and want you to be dependent on them what else would one expect from them?

Because a union shop is an arm of government. Otherwise, people are working outside government and do not matter.

“But Vox is a vulture. As Reason reported, she previously said, These were never good jobs. No one has ever suggested that, even freelancers. She also reportedly shouted profanity at people protesting the law.”
I guess “no jobs at all” is better than “never good jobs”

Oh, but they do care. The commie Libs do care. They are implementing Cloward-Piven to bankrupt and transform America. They have been dying for a scenario like this where they can crush the economy. And if they can overthrow Trump in the next election, they get a two-fer.

Im sure some legit freelancers lost substantial income and I empathize with that especially this time of year. But Vox is a vulture. Websters defines 'but' as 'a word used to seperate fake and meaningless words which preceded it from the true meaning of a statement. It is always safe to ignore everything that comes before the word but.' They go on to cite examples:
- 'I would never molest a child but I see why some men might.' You can safely assume he is actively molesting children.
- 'We must take money out of politics but it's important for labor unions to be able to give their members a voice.' You can safely assume he's taking wads of cash from labor unions.
- 'This pandemic is deadly and we must restrict people rights for the sake of public safety but certain protests need to be heard and such restrictions don't make sense.' This is a difficult example. Possible asusmptions include 'the pandemic is not deadly' or 'I don't mind if those protestors die to advance my power. Their death is a risk I'm willing to take' In such scenarios both possible interpretations are likely simultaneously correct.
Actually, I just checked and that definition and examples are from my own dictionary I'm working on, not Websters. Still valid.
Therefore her words of sympathy for people who's lives she ruined are totally fake and can be ignored. She doesn't give a rat's rump about them. The part that matters is that she has picked entities she wants to punish and she doesn't care who she hurts to do it.
