What’s a good socialist governor to do, after the feds deny a lifeline ?
Why, raise taxes and cut services, of course.
Good. The governor of Minnesota and the mayor of Minneapolis chose to stand by and do nothing as rioters destroyed Minneapolis. The gall of these two idiots to demand money from US taxpayers to fix the consequences of their incompetence is breathtaking.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....Stewpid assbite Rat politicians come begging for money after letting their Rat constituents burn the place down.
Earthquake? Sure! Heavy storms? Youbetcha! Miscellaneous acts of God? we’re on our way!
Riots you should have controlled but didn’t resulting in property damages you could have prevented?
Suck on it!
Good.
Tim Walz has all that defunding money to rebuild with. Of course it’s harder to grift it that way.
1500 buildings destroyed. And there I was thinking they were “mostly peaceful protests”.
Why CNN said so.
And as everyone knows, CNN never lies. /sarc
"Reagan to NYC: Drop Dead" ?
I'm laughing now but this might not end well.
Unhinged liberals decimate their own city. Liberal state and local gov’t stand by and watch it happen and do not lift a finger to stop it. In fact, are sympathetic to the rioters and order police to stand down.
Then, actually have the nerve to ask for tax dollars from the rest of the country to pay to restore that which they enabled to be destroyed.
The nerve of these Leftists knows no bounds.
Guess nobody told the Gov that murdering your parents and asking for a suspended sentence because you’re an orphan doesn’t work...
Its self inflicted by the elected officials of Minnesota, but I still feel bad for all the small business owners and the many injured, dead, and with destroyed property who are caught in a no win situation thanks to the grandstanding, incompetence, and weakness of the officials. The officials are going to look out for themselves, not the people.
Part of the problem is modern methods of risk management. If the locals had acted to minimize the damage, the local pols would have to alienate their base.
If the total damages were between one and five million, the first response would be to let the insurance companies handle it, then deduct the difference in business tax returns.
But, get the damage total up to half a billion with a B, and now you can try to get the feds to just print more money and then share with special interest groups.
It’s like paying people an extra $600 a week in unemployment benefits, so they don’t want to find a job.
Gov. Walz (D) helped make Minneapolis into a “major disaster” area long before the riots which he did noting to stop. The same for the Mayor of Minneapolis, a total leftist waste and coward.
Now let them pay the “piper” of repairing the city. They can best start by resigning now and disappearing into the mists of Democrat/marxist losers.
Minnesotas Governor and Minneapolis Mayor purposefully did nothing, and may have even ordered a stand down during riots. Now they want taxpayers to pay for the damage they more or less endorsed. No money for the Bernie Bros!!!!
Detroit 2. Good luck with your urban blight.
As soon as they did not send National Guard to help hold that police precinct, things went to hell, literally.
No tax dollars from me.
GOOD.
The Gov sat on his butt and let the cities burn because he didn’t want to “offend” the rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists. I guess he counts them as a big portion of the democrat voter base. I hope no aid goes to Portland, Seattle, Atlanta, NY City, or any other place where they let the mob run wild.
