New York City is one of many school systems in the United States set to roll out Black Lives Matter (BLM)-themed lesson plans this fall. According to the NYC Department of Education, teachers will delve into systemic racism, police brutality, and white privilege in their classrooms.
North Carolinas largest school system in Wake County launched a website this summer that provides BLM lessons for teachers to use in classrooms and for parents to use at home. The website, created by the school systems Office of Equity Affairs, encourages teachers to address the injustices that exist beyond education by the conversations we have with others, by speaking up when we see hate, by supporting efforts that oppose racism and oppression, and by directly engaging in advocacy work.
Encouraging people to identify and condemn racism is an undeniably laudable undertaking by these school administrators. Thats not whats really happening, however. By bringing BLM into the classroom, activist educators are allowing the most radically divisive movement in modern American history to warp childrens worldviews.
Wake Countys BLM teaching resource is dressed up as a legitimate civics education resource, complete with tips for fostering civil discourse and a section on teaching historical facts about Americas civil rights movement. But closer inspection reveals it to be a deliberate Trojan Horse conceived to incubate, amplify, and channel the movements attitudes for political ends.
The site lays out a cult-like recruiting process for students to follow. Step one: Recognize your white privilege. Step two: Learn the dos and donts of being an ally. Step three: Recruit more members to learn steps one and two.

The how-to manual was written in the 50s...
From a review...
Communist and socialist elements within a parliament initiate "policies and legislation which strengthen the hand of grassroots revolutionaries." They also connive to punish those who oppose the planned coup. "Meanwhile, grassroots revolutionaries whip up the appearance of popular support" for the revolutionary agenda "through strikes, rallies, petitions, threats, and - sometimes - sabotage. The 'pressure from below' by the small number of revolutionaries and their larger number of dupes is then used to 'justify' the centralization of power in the hands of the executive branch of the state. Wishy-washy politicians are intimidated, and the 'pressure from above' intensifies. Each legislative victory results in new demands for even stronger legislation, which is relentlessly pursued by communists and their dupes in parliament - who claim that they are acting in the name of the popular will. The cycle continues until opposition is completely powerless, intimidated, or liquidated - and the revolution is a fait accompli."
-- The New American magazine, July 5, 1999
Sound familiar? The communists learned how to exploit black American grievances in the 20s to further the revolution. Their first big effort was The Scottsboro Boys case in the 1930s (which was legitimate racism).
People known to us have children being taught about the marvels of socialism.
I dare say that every kid in American public schools is learning that.
Homeschooling has had a wonderful effect in that regards, as parents we know are teaching their kids how that works vs capitalism
“Why not an alternative Public school system?”
Here in NC, there is a huge surge in home schooling, so much so that the state cannot keep up with the notices of intent. I would hope that parents who do keep their kids in public school start paying close attention to the curriculum, and ask their kids every day what they learned. They should be a bit probing; did they talk about BLM, about LGBT, did they try to make you feel bad because you are white, etc. and then come down on the teachers when they start this crap.

I lived in Berlin in the mid 80’s, about 3 blocks from the Wall. We went over there a few times. It was like going from color into black and white. Drab and dreary. Police everywhere. Nothing in the stores. It is unbelievable to me that just 30 years after the collapse of that wall, well within living memory of those times, we are seeing this crap. Somebody needs to make a documentary.
Coming down on teachers wont do any good. You have to go after the school districts and the state board of education establishing the curriculum.

Political correctness, consensus building and sensitivity training came from their cultural Marxist minions.
Thanks. I’ll watch later.
There is only one solution and that is for parents to take their kids out of these schools no matter what sacrifice is required. Nothing other than the loss of funding they get for each warm body in the classroom will change anything.
The joke is on BLM. GOD forbid the Globalists ever fully take over, they go up against the wall.
