CNN host Don Lemon said nobody is perfect, not even Jesus Christ.
During a conversation with network host Chris Cuomo on Monday night, Lemon said that much of history taught to children is "propaganda" and revised basic biblical doctrine by saying Jesus, the central figure of Christianity, was "not perfect."
"Jesus Christ — if that's who you believe in, Jesus Christ — admittedly, was not perfect when he was here on this Earth," Lemon said. "So, why are we deifying the founders of this country, many of whom owned slaves?"
"No one is perfect. Nothing is perfect. Not even the Founding Fathers," Lemon added.
The biblical doctrine that Christ was morally perfect dates far back into Christian history and is well established in the New Testament. In 2 Corinthians 5:21 and Hebrews 7:26, the apostle Paul said Christ was "holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens" and that "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

Christ came to earth born by a woman made in all respects like us imperfect earthlings to do his Father’s will and that he mercifully and faithfully did in perfection to “make reconciliation for the sins of the people”. He took our sinful nature and through his resurrection his followers likewise will be resurected in his likeness. Earthlings either believe this or not.
