I worry about Joe Biden debating Donald Trump. He should do it only under two conditions. Otherwise, he’s giving Trump unfair advantages.

Not surprising that the left will run cover for Biden’s inability to debate.
I predicted this months ago right here on FR. Biden will not refuse to debate, but will demand rules that Trump cannot accept....thereby making Trump the bad guy and refusing to debate.
the deep state criminal cabal can’t allow that to happen, thus, unless the establishment and the democrats can’t guarantee a Biden victory via vote fraud and election rigging, there won’t be a presidential election in November 2020.
Debates are about two people and what they bring to the stage. That is it, it is a verbal dual.

If Biden refuses to debate, The Trump campaign should engineer a debate with a suitably adorned debate studio stage with Trump behind a podium and a television monitor placed behind the other podium. Trump gets asked a question by the moderator(s). After Trump responds, then the moderator directs the same question to the television monitor. The monitor then displays one or more of the millions of idiotic gaffes that this dummy has made in the last few years alone.
Or, consistent with Biden being the Marxist’s Marionette that he surely will be should he unthinkably be elected, perhaps an animatronic dummy could be substituted for the television monitor.
No matter the method chosen, the results are sure to be more honest that with the flesh and blood Biden.

Thomas Friedman is a writer for the New York Times. That gives you something to evaluate his advice to Biden. What he is really saying is do not debate Trump if you can avoid it. The democrats do not want to lose and will pull any trick they can to hide the truth about Biden.
