I am not ashamed of making a mistake, and stand by my error. I don’t believe in erasing history, I prefer to LEARN from history. Even my own.

A few years back my son and DIL did a cross country trip from NC to AZ with many side trips along the way.
They called it their Great American Crumbling Infrastructure Tour.
Tell that to the people who are seeing their lives upended, reputations destroyed, finances drained, after being charged with crimes that could send them to prison for years.
Imagine being a law-abiding, productive member of society with a family to take care of and a mortgage to pay and a half hour later you're in handcuffs facing 15 years in prison after running over a "peaceful protestor" who was trying to slice your tires, disabling your vehicle in the middle of an angry mob.
You may have thought it was self-defense. On Twitter, you're an angry, racist murderer and if you thought the cops were on your side, you're learning a different story.

Did just that. I used to live just across the Potomac from Washington DC. Had to drive through the city to get to work. Now I live in a semi-rural area 35+ miles away; haven't had to go anywhere near DC since.
I particularly like listening to a rooster crowing somewhere nearby in the morning as I leave the house.
