Texas has once again broken its single-day record for new coronavirus cases. The state reported 10,028 new cases Tuesday as officials warned that hospitals are reaching capacity.
The previous daily record was 8,260 new cases on July 4. There are now more than 200,000 cases across the state, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. The state also set a new record for single-day deaths, with 60.

I am with you, 100% This is all just so much bullsh*t. It is only going to get worse as 3 November approaches, too. Put that in the bank.
Doesnt matter if it’s true. It only matters that Texas goes Blue in November.
Yes I had heard Trump was working on getting schools to open in the fall. The school closings were the biggest mistake we made, which says something because our response to this was riddled with mistakes.
Herd immunity is coming and this whole thing would already be over had we not tried to flatten the curve. Flattening the curve only prolongs the virus.
Covid is not the main cause of hospitals nearing capacity. It is elective surgeries and procedures that are filling up our hospitals, which is a good thing.
That’s being dishonest, plain and simple
Of course it doesn’t matter, and at this point given what we know, I don’t see a peaceful solution.
Yes, it will culminate then, and then we shall see how many patriots will actually step up.
It sure is strange this is only happening in Red States.
SeeBS Nooz.. This disease has only been in Texas for roughly four months but there are “record books” that must be kept for daily infections.
This is like if someone set a record on an expansion team that’s played 50 games in their entire history. The number is meaningless.
BTW, remember the “record heat” that was a sure sign of global warming? Lies. Just meant to sound scary.
1. Where in Texas.
2. (A) Age of the persons in the “new cases”. The younger they are - 19 to 40, the less worrisome is the public health prospects. (B) With or without comorbitites? Of course with certain preexisting conditions - chronic heart, blood pressure or respiratory conditions, diabetes or obesity. Older age and comorbidity factors are the biggest risk known factors indicating higher risk and without them clearly indicating lower risk. So, what is THAT data in the “new cases”. A bunch of college “spring break” kids? Not a big public health concern as the vast majority will be asymptomatic or have a mild illness.
3. True new cases - positive Wuhan Virus test, or just part of the new definition of “a case” which includes a number of conditions ranked as “possible” but counted as actual cases now.
The GOP governor better quickly get his hands around (1) how the “new case” numbers are being made - what’s the definition, and (2) where exactly in the state are the increases, and (3) what is the age groups and due to that factor how great, or not, is the public health concern. Otherwise he cannot communicate the accurate degree of public health concern about the matter.
If I have to crawl through broken glass, or run through a mob of ANTIFA pukes, I will be there.
Indeed, Abbott should be talking about what’s going on, because if he doesn’t
, then someone else will.

IT’S TRUE!!!! I SWEAR!!!! It all started when the aliens gave Cartman an anal probe. Then they kidnapped Ike and gave the cows an alien machine. Now the whole state is covered in bullshit teleported from Colorado. IT’S TRUE!!!
Checking in from Hurst TX (between Dallas and Ft Worth). I don’t know anyone that has tested positive for Covid. I do know 3 people that had to test and self quarantine because someone in their workplace tested positive (all in north Texas). All of them tested negative and they returned to work. I do food delivery for a local restaurant and none of us at work have tested positive and we never had to close. Tarrant County (where I live) posts their stats daily. We still have plenty of available hospital beds and ventilators.

My own children and myself were part of why the capacity went up because everything was put on hold. Dentist appointment? Children’s Pediatrics? elective surgeries? Everything on hold so that once hospitals and Medical Offices re-open they will be full because of everything that got put on hold.
Texas is peaking now. I predicted the cases would top out around 11,500-12,000 and then drop like other states have.
Fingers crossed and watching.
Another major protest state that is surging is Washington.
Nationwide, the percentage of positive tests is dropping even as about 10 states are surging in new cases.
Hoping for even better news by next week.
I do know that where I am in Pennsylvania was full because they put so much on hold. I wouldn’t be surprised if Texas had the same.
