SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Supervisor Shamann Walton on Tuesday introduced an ordinance to outlaw racially motivated 911 calls.
The Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-Emergencies, or
CAREN, Act could possibly result in people who call law enforcement based on racial bias facing criminal charges.
The ordinance is similar to state Assemblymember Rob Banta's
(D-Oakland) Assembly Bill 1550, which also calls for consequences for those who call 911 based on biases toward race, class, outward appearance and religion.
During the Board of Supervisors meeting Walton said both measures "are part of a larger nationwide movement to address racial biases and implement consequences for weaponizing emergency resources with racist intentions."
The name Karen has become synonymous on social media with people who call 911 with racist intentions, as several high-profile incidents captured on cellphone video, including some in the Bay Area, have shown people threatening to call police because of racial biases.
Who will enforce it? No police.
Yes, I know it isn't new, but still.....
It will be like England, where all they do is police Twitter users who complain about police.

I mean seriously, how do they intend to determine if a 911 call is racially biased? You literally would have to be able to read the caller's mind - or the caller would have to admit something like "He scared me 'cause he reminded me of that mean old white dude that we tore down the statue of last week..."
This law could not reasonably be enforced. However, the lack of reasonableness won't stop them. If the caller is white, and the alleged criminal is black, I'll bet you good money they will just *assume* the call has at least some level of racial bias behind it.
Gosh, making assumptions based on race...I know there's a term for that. One that would apply to these lawmakers that propose such actions... Let me see, what was that word... Oh yeah, racist. This law right here, and the only way it could be enforced - this is real racism in America.

Neither have I. It is yet another example of the left hijacking a term. Similar to "fair" - their idea of fair is anything but fair. Or "racist" - which really is anyone who disagrees with them on any issue. Heck, disagree with a liberal over pizza toppings and you're probably racist.
So everyone is more or less aware of the term "Karen" on social media and know that it is generally bad... Leftists capitalize on that by now trying to associate race with yet another thing/issue that has nothing to do with race.
That is not the point of this law.
The point is to have another weapon to throw at the citizenry to mold/shape behavior. The point is to prevent the initial interaction of black people with the corrections system, and to lower the numbers of black people in the prisons.
Make white terrified of calling the authorities on black criminals, and the blacks remain free.
And the whites become imprisoned in their own home.
Does anyone believe companies are going to hire blacks and younger people after all we’ve seen and heard over the past 6 weeks plus? They have soooooo screwed themselves.

Sounds like we all need burner phones to report suspicious people. Yes, you can get traced on a burner but it takes some work and won’t be done unless you go overboard (like swatting others). But, as far as I know, 911 calls still have to be responded to, whether or not they know who you are - hence burners will still work, even with this insane law.
