KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM @KCBSRadio BREAKING: The #Martinez couple caught on video painting over the approved #BlackLivesMatter mural on #FourthofJuly are being charged with a hate crime, according to a release from the #ContraCostaCounty District Attorney's office.

OK, I’m not a lawyer, but I googled “California Hate Crime” and found this:
“Hate crime” means a criminal act committed, in whole or in part, because of one or more of the following actual or perceived characteristics of the victim:
this is actualy good....the hate crime laws need to be declared unconstitutional and I think this might be a good case to move the ball with. This action can be used to shows that the law is a way of persecuting political opponents and was created to do anything else.
For those not in the area, you might want to know that the Contra Costa District Attorney is a former IMPEACHED County Judge. The fact that she is black probably has helped her recently.
A shame, really. When I moved to this county 30 years ago, it was an island in the insanity of the Bay Area. We used to make fun of “Beserkeley”, but now its tentacles have reached our section of the area.
