typical trumpian hyperbole, but I think that number is probably close to accurate. deaths are on a path to zero, and have been since early may, even with the reopening in early june. the “active cases” number is HOPELESSLY inflated by people that tested positive three moths ago, have fully recovered, but their positive test was never resolved. in other words, the positive cases check in, but unless they die, they probably never check out.

What matter are HOSPITALIZATIONS, INTUBATIONS, and DEATHS!!!
If “new cases” are increasing and deaths (even accounting for lagging) are declining this is a cause for CELEBRATION!!

Well, not sure what harmless means. But 99.9% of people who now get the virus will survive. Maybe .8% will have some lingering affects. So I guess Trump is pretty accurate about this.

It will be higher recovery rate now given most people already been immunized (exposed with antibodies.) This is how every pandemic has every ended. This one is "different" but no one can explain why
