I was alerted a few hours ago, and I was surprised that now, looking through FR posts, no one has posted.
Our beloved Patriot has passed on.
The "tree" on the right of my page has an "everything" tab checked
Well seems to me you should be boiled in oil for your not seeing the articles posted. j/k...but some aren’t
Just tryin' t'do what I can with what I have left.
Breaking News (news/activism)
No sweat. The mods will deal with it .. or not.
Losing Charlie is tragic. Not only a great musician he was one of the few out there with a sound political mind.
I saw him just recently on TV at (I think) a Grand Ole Opry; as they introduced him he was running across the stage with his fiddle up to the mic and began playing amazingly fast. I thought “Man, that’s great for his age or any age!” I saw him in person in 1976 doubling with Joe Walsh.
I posted on his site but I do not see any comments there.
I am looking across the La Plata Canyon to his small ranch outside of Durango, CO. He liked to stay here during the winters and was well regarded by the locals. Kept a pretty low profile but was active in a nearby church. He will be missed.
from Gretchen Wilson’s Redneck Woman
And I keep my Christmas lights on
On my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song
RIP
“I’m in stage 4 ... don’t really give a jit about others any more ....”
I am very sorry to hear that. I will be praying for you.
Glad you posted some of us don’t have time to go through pages looking for a thread even if it does have 200+ comments...
RIP Charlie
He loved country music and HE LOVED HIS COUNTRY!! RIP Charlie.

I committed suicide 55 years ago ... (smoking / emphysema) only just now seein' it happen.
It's a slow mover and I figure at least a couple'a more years ... we'll see.
Heb 9:27-28
27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
I can remember many an evening, chillin and listening to the Charlie Daniels Band and Marshall Tucker.
Terrible news. Good ones keep dying. Evil keeps living.
RIP Play that fiddle on the golden streets.
He just joined Parler last week.
It’s okay for the triple post. He was a patriot and a national treasure.
Today we also lost Ennio Morricone, composer of the Good the Bad and the Ugly today.
