Cape Girardeau police Sgt. Joey Hann said at approximately 11:40 p.m., the juvenile was dancing on Main Street near Independence Street when a dark sports utility vehicle stopped in the westbound lane of Independence Street. An adult male passenger exited the vehicle and hit the juvenile in the head from behind. The suspect returned to the vehicle and quickly drove away."

My teens have all been warned that certain groups are raised to hate them from birth because they are white. Because NJ is segregated, these incidents are fairly rare; everyone understands the arrangement.

I didn’t enjoy relaying that to them, but the few openly racist attacks on whites by blacks are concealed by the media - putting naïve people at risk.
Many of the residents of suburbs in NJ are the children and grandchildren of those who fled the cities as they collapsed in the 1960s; they have no misconceptions about race relations, and certainly no “white guilt”.
First, tell me where you live. State is fine.

3rd, given the above, the time is nothing. I was raised to stay up late at night, so 11:40 for us, at home, would not be shocking at all. Esp. On holidays like this.
