The person who drove a car into a group of Black Lives Matter protesters in Seattle early Saturday morning and left two of them in critical condition has been identified. The Associated Press reported that Dawit Kelete was behind the wheel of a white sedan that swerved directly into the protesters marching on a local highway, hitting two women. A graphic video circulating on social media showed the point of impact that violently flung the victims’ bodies high into the air over Interstate 5.

Agreed. Someone else said the police were chasing him, but he did nothing wrong going thru that BLM roadblock. The idiots in the road were the ones at fault for their being stuck.

It looks like he swerved to his left to avoid some other illegal roadblockers, and the two woman moved into his way, and he couldn't avoid hitting them.
It's the illegal protestors who should all be arrested. But it is the People's Socialist Kakistocracy of Seattle; laws don't count it that political cesspool.

So that explains why this dropped out of the news cycle so quickly.
Black or white, a driver coming upon such a situation would be putting himself in danger of at least grave bodily harm were he to stop to avoid hitting these dunces. Anyone who walks in the driving lanes of an interstate and gets hit gets no sympathy from me.
I looked at that short video and it looked as if the two young beauties thought to convince the driver to stop by getting in front of him. Snowflake judgment is not terribly reliable.

Did you look at the pix of those two women> Not something that would excite admiration or respect. My son says that this sort of self mutilation is convenient because it shows him which girls he does not wish to talk to.

He looks like the Ethiopians I met here a while back. They are a bit distinctive, the Amhari, at least and the name Dawit (David) suggests he is that.

No. Dawit is a transcription from the Amharic for David. Different language, the name is from the same biblical source but the language and thus the pronunciation of the name is different. In Arabic it is pronounced Da-ood. In the European languages John comes in many forms that are different such as Sean, Ian, Jan, Johann, and several more.
