Although she technically didn’t get fired from Deloitte, in reality, that’s pretty much what happened, because she lost she lost her internship, which would have almost surely resulted in a a permanent job there. Especially being female, and a minority, large corporations in America try really hard to increase diversity as much as reasonably possible, and I would put her odds at over 99% that she would have been hired at the end of the internship.

On the other hand, I wish we didn’t have a cancel culture that would get her removed from an internship because she made an inartful analogy. I don’t think anybody believes she was actually going to stab anybody.

Every day, I see memes illustrating “Black lives matter”, most are about houses burning down, but nobody ever complains that the BLM folks are threatening to burn down houses, it is just an analogy that you spray water on the burning house rather than the other houses.

THe analogy is stupid; nobody is suggesting that we should not deal with police who commit violence, and not ALL police — oh wait, the BLM folks are, they are explicitly saying that rather than focus on the problem of bad police officers, they want to punt the entire police force and replace them with peaceful community “policing”, like the kind that got a deaf-mute woman raped, and two black teenagers murdered, in CHOP.
