Richmond, VA _ The City of Richmond Thursday removed the Maury Statue on Monument Avenue at Belmont, along with two cannons on Monument avenue, one just west of the Arthur Ashe Monument, and the other east of the Jefferson Davis statue.
Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney said the statue and cannons were among eleven the city would be removing in the coming days, following Wednesday's removal of the Stonewall Jackson statue, but it would wait until after the July 4th holiday.
Maury was a confederate navy officer during the Civil War and known as the "Pathfinder of the Seas", which is the name of the monument, the pedestal of which also contains a globe with various figures around it, which will require heavier equipment to remove.
Stoney says the statues will be placed in temporary storage while the city solicits public input on what should be done with them.

That’s why she posted it to show that the Democrats are wrong in attempting to erase their own racist history.
As Shelby Foote said so suscently, before the War Between the States everyone said the United States are, but after the Civil War, everyone said the United States is.

Democrats were the KKK, the White Citizen’s Councils and the people who stood in the school house door... Republicans freed the slaves... Democrats owned them.
That utterly perfect meme is very popular on Fakebook.
It also causes a LOT of outraged leftist screaming.
Then the photo gets pulled or ‘covered’ but someone else just posts it again.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
:D
EXACTLY SO. - Had Governor Haley just said “NO”, we would have a LOT less trouble with such situations than we have now.
(WHEN/IF we Southerners & other CONSTITUTION-loving folks STOP CARING or even LISTENING TO the FOOLISNESS & LIES that the Northeastern “main-SLIME media” peddles, we will all be MUCH BETTER OFF.)
What Ms. Haley SHOULD have said was, “GO BACK where you came from, peddle your HATEFULNESS there & let our GOOD people of SC solve to our own problems. - We WILL solve the problem of that vicious criminal. - We neither NEED nor WANT to hear your opinion, UNTIL/UNLESS the place where you live becomes PERFECT.”
ImVho, one “piece of racist scum”, who shot up a church in Charleston, had NOTHING WHATEVER to do with the battleflag on the SC Soldier’s monument.
(My adopted family is from Spartanburg County & I do not know of even ONE person there who was not HORRIFIED & DISGUSTED by that criminal’s vicious act against innocent church members. Otoh, everyone that i know there RESENTED the “mainstream press” coming to SC to stir up trouble.)

the riots do not see themselves as rioters, they are literally revolutionaries for a new country. They simply do not care.
The left wanted a great reset and they have the money and cannon fodder for the reset they want.
We can explain till the end of time and they will never listen that is not their game. If they erase everything then there is no explanation needed.
A lot of people have started this ball rolling over the years. In Virginia, Governor Jim Gilmore (R) ordered the confederate battle flag patch removed from State Police uniforms. Gilmore was a squish, and served well in that role for the RNC.
You are CORRECT but IF worst comes to worst (as I fear that it will when DJT is reelected in a landslide on 03NOV20) & the real bombings/arsons/shootings by the HATE-FILLED LEFTISTS starts, their “leadership”/”money men” (rather than just the cannon fodder) will feel the righteous wrath of the Patriots.
(Old Tom Jefferson was 100% correct about “the blood of tyrants”.)
That you can take to the bank.

You should be banned. There is no place for you here.
Yes, it’s a few blocks west of Maury’s (former) statue.
