Alas, we continue to see those in congress and elsewhere who have never met a war they didn’t want YOU or your CHILDREN to die in.
Osama Bin Laden’s beef against USA was based on presence of American troops in Arabia. At one time we had 900 foreign military installations. It is one thing to fight a war against aggressors, but why keep troops in Germany and S.Korea decades after the wars are over? Exactly what is the Return on the costly investment? Both Germany and S.Korea can well afford to spend on their own defense for many decades. That money should be used to modernize infra-structure here.
