Politics of pandering aside, here are the lyrics. It was written at the end of the 19th century when former slaves were still plentiful and seems to be a call for them and their children to move past that, to move into a better future. Hard to find fault with the words here.

I am fed up with the NFL, Nascar and the rest of the scum that want to tear down our heritage. Boycott!
So the blacks have their own “national anthem” along with insisting on many forms of de facto segregation. Why then don’t they all move en masse to Africa where they would presumably feel more at home? By the way, I refuse to capitalize the first letter of black like so many writers are doing now simply because the NYT decided that’s the latest way to appease blacks.
They should play “F@%k da Police”, that all that seems to matter to these people.
