Politics of pandering aside, here are the lyrics. It was written at the end of the 19th century when former slaves were still plentiful and seems to be a call for them and their children to move past that, to move into a better future. Hard to find fault with the words here.

I find fault with anything that undermines this nation I love so dearly and voluntarily served in the U.S. Navy to support and defend.
I just want them to play the whole song, so I can watch democrat’s heads explode when they have to sing about God’s grace and honoring Him.
Actually, I am not sure NFL is going to go with this in the end — a lot of “woke blacks” and more “woke whites” kind of object to this song because it suggests that with freedom, the black life has been rescued and their future is bright.
That anthem describes the suffering my dad went through as a Normandy vet so these non patriotic multi millionaires can ruin our respite from the real world.
