VIDEO: Rioters Set Fire to Historic Thompson Elk Fountain in Portland (Elk are racist?)

Rioters set fire to the 120-year-old Thompson Elk Fountain located near a federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, Wednesday night.

Thursday morning, Post Millennial Editor-at-Large Andy Ngô shared video footage of the burning statue:

The rioters also tore off wood boards protecting the courthouse’s windows and used them for firewood and barricades, according to Fox News.

“Protesters threw water bottles and other projectiles as police fired pepper balls and at least one flash-bang at protesters in front of the courthouse, according to freelance reporter Sergio Olmos,” the article noted.

The Thompson Elk Fountain was placed in the middle of SW Main Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues in 1900, according to Vintage Portland, a project of the Portland Archives and Records Center (PARC).

“The statue was presented to the city by David P. Thompson, a former Portland mayor and civic leader,” the site read.

In an update Wednesday, the Portland Police Bureau shared a list of suspects arrested during demonstrations and riots that took place from Tuesday until Wednesday night.

“5 Officers and 1 Criminalist sustained injuries during the events last nights, including some from thrown rocks and full beverage cans,” the bureau noted, citing photos of the projectiles shared on its Twitter page:

I doubt those old films will compare with the videos/graphics of nightly national riots we have now. I vote use them.

I often wonder the same. They don't even need to bring weapons. Just 50 of them wearing USMC cap or shirt and stand in formation in front of these scumbags. No matter the Marine age, I highly doubt these punks would attack. The anarchists may be indoctrinated, but I bet money they know what a US Marine is and about. I'd join them in a heartbeat with my US Navy cap.

The Portland Police are there to protect Antifa. All the good Portland LEOs quit/were fired two years ago.

We determined that they will self-destruct, soon enough. There is no strategic advantage to not letting them eat themselves. Antifa does not try to cross the river into Vancouver. They would get the sh!t shot out of them. They do not have political coverage outside the city limits.

And, Trump and his DoJ are very high, and very far away. Haven't seen any in years. Apparently, Oregon/Washington is not in their country.

On the news today showing the Chinese local government crackdown on protestors in Hong Kong, they showed numerous police vans equipped with high pressure water hoses to repel demonstrators. Huge vans marked "Police". Chinese are getting the job done repelling demonstrators, and are laughing at our weak enforcement against protesters. I've wondered why we aren't using high pressure water hoses?
